•Rocky's clutch-sibling
•Adrian avoids them
•Has no desire to meet the alien, and so Simon doesn't know they exist.

•Adrian's cousin and childhood friend
•Birth defect/injury makes them sensitive to temperature changes and essentially immunocompromised.
•Well-liked by almost everyone, very polite.
Simon name: Demon (anaesthesia doesn't exist as a concept on Erid, and they were the one most involved in Simon's "health assessments")

Went back to add some info on this since a couple people were confused. That wasn't Rocky, he's still not on Erid. Rather than something plush, I believe something solid, heavy, and textured would be more comforting for Adrian #bloodsong #bloodymaryontherocks #simonxadrian #rockdrian part 9.5

It's been getting better, I think. They've been bothering me less.

They just bring me food and leave. I think they're scared of me.

...That's for the best.

The food still sucks, but now it feels less like I'm eating sand and rust. It's still too little. I'm losing weight. But I need to survive, and this is keeping me alive. Somehow.

I can't tell if they want to use me ...or just torture me.

Fun fact! The COI convict collars are welded shut when they are first put on their convicts with minimal (if any) heat protection. Even after the collar is removed, there's usually leftover scarring + indents from years or wear so it's never /really/ gone. #bloodsong #bloodymaryontherocks part 6

Adrian is here!! Finally decides to take matters into their own hands! It's been unbearable seeing the other researchers scampering about afraid of this thing instead of doing their damn jobs. #bloodsong #bloodymaryontherocks part 2

Adrian has been watching & keeping notes. They volunteered for the project early on to keep themselves busy. It reminds them of Rocky in a vague enough way to be more comforting than painful. Like collaborating with him, in a way.

(The main form of eridian writing utilizes something like a 3D pen (with a material a bit more fluid than fillament) to make bumps and textures on thin tablets)

Simon has been struggling trying to pull away the metal collar that was welded shut around his neck when he was apprehended by the COI. His voice is still fucked up so he can't talk, and he keeps fucking it up more by constantly trying to scream.
