No time to explain what happened, but in the end, she panicked and clawed at someone at a public place, which compromised her human disguise (she tends to revert to her true colours if she's not careful). Hopefully nobody else saw it before she ran away. #ocsky

Skull-shaped rocks, a reoccuring sight across many worlds. They're often mistaken for fossils. There have even been claims about them being carved by an advanced ancient civilization. In reality that's just how they crystallize. Here, erosion has exposed a geode of them.

Commission for @baronofcaring.bsky.social of his character, the Aeldari Farseer Sparka.

A portrait of a custom aeldari farseer character from Warhammer 40000. She's wearing wraithbone armour and has a fur cloak. She has a custom designed firearm also made of wraithbone. Her hair is purple, as are the gems on her armour plates and gun, as well as her eyes and make-up.

To be honest, he doesn't actually own anything from the original production but the weirdest thing he has is a mysterious softcover book from the early 90s that might be a piece of published fanfiction.

Took an inordinate amount of time to draw the design because I made the snakes wrap around his scapulae before going to the neck, at least I have the sketches if I need to draw him again. The snake motifs are a cultural thing.

Yeah it's loosely based on a rhomphaia or falx.

This is one of the players from the sword dance picture. He’s really into bladed weapon sports, in part because of the advantage in hand to hand combat due to his precognitive abilities. #elfenjoyers

Some OC lore. A traditional elven sword game. Follow the music. Cut the opponent’s ribbons during the window of time when your moves aren’t mirrored. #elfenjoyers

$Over the centuries the ritualized sword dances have evolved into complex performances and also given rise to an entire category of sports with significant rule differences, and their own major leagues and events. The traditional player/team colors are green and blue. Purple is used for accents. Humans stumbling upon strange, smooth-surfaced, unnaturally well preserved, fractal structures in the woods usually lack the context to know that they’re open air stages for just such dances and festivals, which tend to take place at night.$ Close up on the green player, wearing the traditional antlered mask. Wounding the opponent incurs a major penalty, so the armored costumes used in contemporary games have special dyes that change color on impact with the blade.

Closeup of the sketch. The audience in the background are another person's characters, can't be seen well in the color version because it's a nighttime scene

I'm not dead, here's a new picture from me. It's a portrait of @the-art-of-hobbes.bsky.social 's character.

A digital portrait of a woman holding a book. She's dressed in a medieval fantasy outfit in shades of blue and purple. Her circlet and the rest of her jewelry are silver with amber gemstones, and her red hair is styled in two braids intertwined with purple ribbons.

I don't know, I really like how 1-3 look so I'd like more pictures of them but the designs are already fine. I guess you could always give them alternative outfits, though.

This is the second time I've seen a "there's only 1-5 eldar fans in existence" joke in a comment section and it's weird it happened twice.

New picture of characters I've had since 2017. Not enough space for the full description here. Actually, I have a couple of posts with them here. But *this* outfit is atypical of him.

That's because they treat the others like clipart/stock photos for their slideshow of semirealistic paintings, and your drawings are very recognizable and whimsical. You're kinda famous... as far as I know.

New picture of Stabri, by the way. Wanted to try out opalescent/iridescent effects on the pupils and skin. He was inspecting the animal on the ground but something made him look up. Statue in the back has a mechanism that displays a holographic map of the galaxy.

So because i am impatient, and none of the target recepients follow me, here are my very first sticker designs with my OC Endimion! We are both very excited to meet cosplayers this year! I drew this on ibis paint x, btw, on smartphone. Most successful attempt to date. Subject to potential change.

I know you tagged me a long time ago but I didn't think I have enough purple pieces (that I still like). But on second thought a lot of pics I made of these characters have plenty of purple-adjacent hues.

Yana Vaseva @yanavaseva.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

I'm finally posting something brand new (finished this yesterday). "... So it really *is* haunted."

A character (male elf in dark segmented armor holding a knife and a pistol) in front of the sinks in a delapidated public restroom, facing in the direction of the stalls. The viewer's point of view is from inside the stall (the door is open). There's red light coming from the direction of the floor just behind the character, illuminating a humanoid entity with a dessicated appearance floating right behind his back with arms outstretched as if to grab his shoulders. The walls appear to be oozing streaks of dark reddish liquid and the mirror is cracked. The elf is about to turn around to face whatever is behind him.

Yana Vaseva @yanavaseva.bsky.social · 14/01/2025

From February 2021. Someone had reposted this one on twitter recently so I figured why not post it here now. For context, she's the same entity as in my profile pic but this is her preferred human form (took her a while to get the hang of it).

Digital painting of a young woman with white braided hair and purple eyes. On her head is a gold bejeweled tiara and earrings in an art nouveau-inspired style. She's wearing a sheer white dress with gold details, with an iridescent sheer shawl patterned like insect wings with gold veins.

On the left, my image. On the right, the Al image that was clearly trained on, and designed to plagiarize, my image. All Al generated imagery is inherently theft. It's unethical, environmentally disastrous, and does irreparable harm to both artists and society.
