I've generally had good luck with Drok PSUs, ranging from little boards like that to big metal boxes. As Amazon knockoffs go, they seem to be above the rest. That said, I've not dealt with loads that are super sensitive to ripple, nor have I bothered to scope the output on one of these things.

Depending on the number of loads, it might be easier to manage heat from a bunch of small linear regulators than from one big switching regulator. Or I might be misunderstanding the problem.

Your upstream power is PD, so you're selecting between 5/9/15/20V, and your buck is unstable below 20V. Perhaps you could ditch the buck, drop your PD to 9V, and slap an L7805 on each of your loads? Each one will dissipate 4W x current as heat. They're inefficient, but they're simple, stable, cheap.

So if I'm understanding, you have multiple small loads that need 5V and are voltage sensitive. You need to power these over a long cable and the sag from 5V is too much, so you're sending 20V to a buck that distributes 5V at around 5A total to your loads. Bucking 15V at that current = toasty buck.

Toasty boi. That's a lot of voltage to drop. Switchers are more efficient than linear regulators, but you're still going to dump a fair bit of heat from that drop. Hmm...

I view those paradigms as negative. The western fixation on individualism and rejection of collectivism leads to a society rife with injustice where people lack support and connection. Evolutionary psychology often takes a reductionist view of the human psyche that serves to justify the paradigms.

It's fine. I think we both strongly agree with the article. To clarify, my point was that the biases in past autism research that the article describes are applicable to more than just the treatment of autistic people. The underlying causes of those biases are social paradigms of our society.

Thank you for all you do to raise awareness on this. I got myself and my partner in for MMR boosters with our flu and COVID shots thanks to your reminders. Got Hep A&B too because they weren't on the schedule when we were kids. Safeway doesn't ask questions and insurance paid 100%.

Good plan. Truth be told, I've never successfully extracted a screw with the damn things. It's just the worst last resort and something always goes wrong. Only good use I've found for them is this giant one I got to unscrew sheared-off glad hand fittings without removing the trailer bulkhead.
