Plastic pins in starter cables can snap and make everything fly all over the engine and hit you almost in the eye. Ask me how I know. So I did some #DIY and fixed the clamps (and trained the grip strength in my hands). (1/2)

My middle daughter made this (stuffed controller and a heart with a star and the text "Daddy, = the best!", just because I had to go to the hospital for a little eye surgery. She must have gotten that from my wife, because she sure as hell didn't get it from me. Makes me feel better already.

Because I'm a dumbass, I didn't clamp my #Boardgametable correctly, so my router shifted and took off a whole strip too much. Luckily I could fix it with another strip and some wood glue. After rounding it off and sanding it, the strip isn't visible any more. #DIY

Added an #Ollee mod to my Casio #F-91W. I now have any color, brighter backlight, step counter, different alarm sounds, thermometer, accelerometer (to turn on the screen when tilting) and some other functions I probably won't use. Hopefully they'll add multiple alarms soon!

Glued up 2 legs for my #DIY #Boardgametable. Also made some brackets to prevent bolts to widen the holes in the wood. There should be no wiggle in the legs, but in time legs can wobble because the holes in the wood just erodes.

Testfit of my #DIY #GameboardTable skirts. Took me a whole day to adjust all measurements, because I didn't cut correctly the first time (next time I'll measure twice and cut a little larger). Space for the legs should be 7cm by 7cm. But now they are 6,5cm by 6,5cm.

Nitecore Tini 3 for on my keys. The HC60 is for in and around the house. I had some 16850 batteries laying around from my Raspberry Pi's. But they don't have a button on the positive side. Tested with a little magnet as the button and it works. But for now the included battery works fine.

Modded my #Casio #F91W. Added a piece of paper with a layer of foiltape. One layer of lexan (leftover from my rc car hobby). One layer of sanded lexan for diffusion. I removed the stock backing paper. Not much difference, but still better than the stock diffusion. #DIY #WatchModding

Replaced the broken battery of my #GK68. Couldn't find the same, so got a shorter one. It's only 1900mAh, but at least it works. Installed Fedora on my HP Spectre X360 for TrueNAS admin tasks. Installed Mint for my kids to learn typing and play with Scratch, but oldest got her own laptop for school now and the others are not using laptops yet (probably reinstall on this laptop or maybe my own that will be "old" by that time).

Installed #FedoraLinux 42 on my old HP X360 that even my kids didn't use anymore, because Win11 sucks and won't work. Tried Manjaro and Mint, but they still don't work nice with the touchscreen. I'm now using it for light tasks like managing #TrueNAS and browsing the web when I'm not behind my desk.
