Spicy opinion: No mod for any game should EVER charge for access. Period. They violated the EULA to make it, its not a DLC, they have zero right to charge for that work. Game companies should normalize suing paid mods. Donations are the only acceptable compensation.

When designing game code it's far easier to optimize while you build than to need to revise large systems after the fact. Use the prototype phase to test, then build the system properly with production in mind... better yet just practice optimal design while you prototype so you don't need to revise
