time when the prices will be "on sale" will be controlled exclusively by the games selling platform, as opposed to people selling the game if it was on CDs between themselves or on marketplaces for cheaper than they bought it and also because of time passed.

the problem with physical disks is the following, if they remove them completely they will have total authority and control over your purchased product, both on availability and pricing. for instance, 1. if they decide to remove it from your account or the store then is gone forever even if paid
