Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 10/01/2026Agreed, I keep confusing them all. The show needs more oddballs if they're going to be roughly the same height, weight, gender and age. We need a goth, a dandy, a gymbro, a blue haired hippie and a man with a handlebar moustache. 110
Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 10/01/2026What?! That's dismaying. Most of us Welshies love the Irish, I assure you. You feel like your celtic cousins. My whole family would ALWAYS support Ireland or Scotland after Wales in international Rugby. Celtic pride and all that! 100

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO 413414531924033
Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 18/01/2025Interesting! I was thinking Simon Farnaby or Grayson Perry (heard him sing once at one of his shows) and there was a pottery vase in the clue package in a previous episode. 100
Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 18/01/2025Definitely sounds like either Simon Farnaby or Grayson Perry to me. 110

Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 16/01/2025The British version has no celebrities, which is partly why it's my favourite. 100
Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Yep, pretty much!! A gameshow set in a beautiful castle in Scotland where contestants are fake "killed"off each night by the traitors who hide amongst the "faithful". Every day the contestants vote off someone who could be a traitor. It's silly, camp, gothic, bizarre and great fun! 010

Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Alexander is all of us. We're all watching at home giggling like mad at how preposterous it gets but he's actually doing it to their faces. 😂 010

Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Think about the last time you had severe flu. Did you have the energy to properly read and take in information? Some people with illnesses simply don't have the mental processing abilities to read a physical book due to extreme exhaustion. Listening seems to use a lot less energy, at least for me. 000
Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Another way to look at this could be that Oklahomans seem to have a much worse standard of living and are willing to vote for someone who will disrupt and break everything because "well it can't be much worse than this, we need change" etc. 😕 (It was likely a factor with Brexit in the UK, anyway.) 110

Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 21/11/2024I've been severe since I was a child the late 90's. I always kept the hope that they'd find treatments or cures as science progressed. All those wasted years of possible research because of their specific agenda. It's utterly heartbreaking. 010

Reposted by CathieJohn Scalzi @scalzi.com · 20/11/20241. I reiterate that I don't think bots/trolls get how comprehensive the "block" function here is. 2. I also think they don't quite get how prevalent "don't engage, just block" is as an ethos here. 3. Bluesky is a neighborhood party: everyone is welcome until they're a jerk. Then out they go. 1356039937

Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Wait... could this mean that Owen has a girlfriend who accepts him and his parsnip obsession whilst her purple haired friend looks on in bemusement? That's rather heart-warming! 😆 110

Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 19/11/2024If you've ever tried Duolingo then this is sure to resonate. 😆 The Welsh version is OBSESSED with a man called Owen and his love of parsnips. 0111
Cathie @xomlet.bsky.social · 19/11/2024It's been so much more pleasant than I thought was possible for a social media platform! As it grows that will change, but the lack of rage-baity posts and temu ads has been especially nice. There's a sense of "community" here and it's felt like a big warm hug in these less than ideal times. 020
