The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

Yep. I’m pretty sure that is the case, to inflate their numbers. They tricked me a few times 😅 this way. It is the only reason I end up in Threads nowadays.

We have some existing C++ infrastructure code, and that's where I come in! 😊

I started in BASIC as well. I don’t use FORTRAN directly, but it is heavily used at my company and seems to be the lingua franca in Mechanical Engineering. FORTRAN was also used in my last company (Finance) but it has been phased out there.

Hello everyone. I've been super busy at work due to a deadline approaching. I've been working a lot with C, C++, CMake, and a bit of FORTRAN. I finally upgraded my home network and got fiber internet, which makes me feel like a professional. 🤯

That was required reading when I was studying computer engineering back in the day. It is still relevant.

I've been using ChatGPT for some coding work with CMake. It quickly answers basic questions, which is great—much faster than Google. However, it sometimes provides incorrect answers (hallucinations) that seem very convincing, so I often find myself Googling to verify the information. 😆

Waiting for my new fiber network to be installed. Nice to have time off but Monday will be a difficult day at work.
