Some of the Al'aketh seemed to farsee across the elemental plane and observe the power and might of Al'akir. The Al'aketh swear loyalty and servitude to Al'akir in hopes of gaining more power for themselves. This seems to be the faction of Skyborne that are a common enemy.

The Windshapers are the Shamans (will ally with Horde) and have a deep connection with the Elementals. The High Order are the Mages (Alliance) and want to regain their independence. The Al'aketh are some of the Skyborne that worship Al'akir, the lord of Skywall.

We start with the Skyborne in a time of crisis, being that the Wind Spirits have disappeared. Without the elementals being present, the magic holding the island airborne and together, is starting to weaken. In turn, factions are rising here to claim control over the Isles.

They hid away here for thousands of years, and built a whole civilization here. Being in the Elemental Plane and having this elemental magic for themselves, their appearance drastically changed.

In a desperate attempt to save themselves, they made a pact with these Elementals, who used magic to raise a chunk of the island and raise it up and far away from Azeroth. They were hidden away in a corner of the elemental plane of Skywall. I am interested in the pact, itself.

Tortheldrin was trying to sustain his people with fel magic. Some rebelled and fought against him. The rebellion didn't go well and the rebels fled westward overseas until they landed on an island. This island was inhabited by Wind Elementals. The Prince pursued them here.

Skyborne Lore Dump! They fit into the world more than you may think! What I gathered! Skyborne are a race of High Elves. They are Shen'dorei, or hidden people. They descend from Highborne exiles who fled Eldre'Thalas (Dire Maul) after they rebelled against Prince Tortheldrin. 🧵

Lorik decided to run some errands and help the citizens in Stormwind City. It's a vast city with many different quarters. It seems the shopkeepers are worried that the Nobles are keeping secrets about how dire the situation is with the Stormwind Army being stretched thin.

Lorik and other adventurers are doing their best to bolster the ranks, and it seems that they are making an impact. They've even been tasked with heading to places like Westfall and Loch Modan to help allies in those areas. Some have even referred to Lorik as "hero".

The mines in Elwynn are no better than Northshire, with Kobolds infesting both Jasperlode and Fargodeep mines. The army itself isn't the only that suffers. Farms are being lost to the Defias, Eastwind Logging Camp is under constant attack from bears and wolves.

In addition to the threats listed previously, it seems Elwynn is also dealing with a Gnoll and Murloc problem. Murlocs seem small, but in numbers they can take down trained soldiers. Lorik found two deceased members of the Army along the river towards Stone Cairne Lake.

Azerothian Archives: Classic Day 2 Lorik continued his journey into Elwynn Forest. It seems that since the Stormwind army is stretched quite thin since taking the fight to the Horde. More threats are encroaching upon Stormwind and there aren't enough soldiers to keep up. 🧵

They were stationed at the Vineyard, where a local farmer grows Grapes. Who knows if they were stationed here as a vantage point or simply here to steal grapes. After dealing with the threats, Lorik was charged with meeting Marshal Dughan in Goldshire to aid where needed.

The Kobolds are pillaging the mines for resources, whereas the Wolves seem to be hunting the livestock that the farmers keep. Neither of these really pose a challenge to the Stormwind Army. However, the thieves are a band of Humans who seem to be hostile and more dangerous.

This would be the perfect stream for newer players, or players not super familiar with the lore or old content, to explore! We will do this on both Alliance, and Horde. I believe, to get the best lens in the challenge, we will go with a Human Paladin and an Orc Shaman.

The challenge is NOT "watch me grind XP." It's "watch me level while we figure out why Wrath still hits different, why Cata killed the old world, and why Blizzard bet so much on player housing 20 years in." This will be split up into Volumes. The first being Volume 1: Classic.

Every expansion gets studied through 6 angles: 📖 Lore: What is the story being told in the zone/expansion we are in? 👥 Anthropology: How players behaved back then vs now? This will be a new angle for me. 🏔️ Tourism: What zones/dungeons were enjoyed the most vs disliked?

Meet Zhang. He will serve as a lens for Horde lore, etc. Who better than a Pandaren Monk? In a time where I try to see both sides of arguments, to gain more knowledge, and to share stories and love for Warcraft, this character is needed. He is also a tiny reflection of where I am in life.

I got emotional. Midnight, with the story telling and being a lore lover, really made me debate leaving for good. But, I have realized that I don't want to leave. I want to readjust expectations and enjoy the good. And then have good discussions about the game and world I do love.

I love good and healthy debates, and I try to keep emotions out of it for the most part. That way we can keep things friendly and fair. It's difficult when bringing it to internet. Midnight did bring out some of those really negative feelings... This was my "unleashing my own Sha" arc.

I was completely expecting these age old tensions/conflicts/arcs to span the entirety of Midnight. I will look at it differently now and accept it for what it is. I will find joy in the good, and have feelings about the not good. And yes, I am trying not to weaponize terms. But social media is hard.
