While it is hard to give up the visibility of the NPM registry, I think JSR is doing a good job of interoperability. As long as you are using ESM, you should be able to reference a JSR package in an NPM project. I think we're closer than we realize to the technical feasibility of making the shift.

Have you tried @jsr.io yet? It's a new NPM alternative introduced by the @deno.land team and it is fantastic. I'm hoping more #javascript and #typescript package maintainers make the leap in 2025
