You can still load plugins if that's the "limitations he drew" you're talking about. Well-written plugins will still load and work when anything, at all, loads them, assuming there's no conflicts with the softmod patches or address space.

Pandora is/was by far the easiest way to connect to Xbins, which legitimately hosts downloads for a lot of 360 homebrew too, like Dashlaunch, xeBuild, FreeStyleDash 3, NXE2GOD, Mupen64, Snes360, etc this kind of abuse of DMCAs is concerning for the health of not just OG Xbox, but 360 modding too

This agreement helps build trust, it allows anyone to check the code and make sure it's safe, even if the distributed binary is not the same. It also helps if a game update releases and mods are no longer compatible, it'd allow anyone to send patches so they can work again. Open-source your mods!

There are a few AI generated "edits" to the BadUpdate exploit going around. These do not improve exploit stability- and one of them that I've seen actually makes the exploit *never run successfully*. Please don't use these. At best you'll just be wasting your time.

the biggest difference between the 360 and these two consoles is that it has games. but also, the PlayStation 4 has sleep mode as a feature, it has a whole second CPU for it the PlayStation 3 phat/slim (not superslim) models have a very weak boot process, enabling CFW the Xbox 360 has neither!!

putting it out there again - BadUpdate is not at all intended to be a replacement for an RGH. if you want something reliable, persistent and fully compatible, get an RGH console or mod your own yourself

sadly the 360's CPU is basically always running in a way that needs its fan to be on to an audible level, even when it only has 1 core running clocked at its lowest speed. a "rest mode" almost definitely won't be possible

i'm not the dev of the hv exploit but i'll answer as best i can: RNG is decided by a hardware random number generator, there's both hardware logic and code to make sure that stuff is sufficiently random and there's no way to "guess" the RNG since it is secure random

RGHing a phat Xbox 360 is a good soldering project and you should do it not a good *first* soldering project.. but with a bit of practice doing something else first, it's pretty easy to pull off
