It's fall sale season once again. A perfect time to cozy up with a good book, or perhaps a series of visual novels about a nun who got stuck in the pear wiggler store.steampowered.com/bundle/71001...

Art featuring the main character of Misericorde, Hedwig, wearing a nun's habit with soft light cutting diagonally behind her. A small speck of blood is visible on her wimple

It's still coming! I apologize for the wait, it was just a truly massive amount of audio work to do on top of writing two more soundtracks haha

The sale is now through the 8th, so a little shorter than usual. As always, a huge thanks to everyone who has made these games a success. Every little bit helps as I work on Volume Three and 35 Electric!

honestly I can see the use case! It's how I navigate all my art programs etc it's just very funny that this is I think the fourth? Fifth? Time I've had to check a little "no thanks" box about adding a vertical bar to firefox

One way to support us while the stream is suspended is to nominate us for the Streamer Awards! Just picture JF at an awards show with a bunch of unbelievably annoying Twitch and Kick influencers. We simply must make it happen.

If you're subscribed to my Patreon, I just published a really meaty update on 35 Electric with lots of behind-the-scenes material! I'll coalesce a bunch of this into a more polished public post soon as well, but for everyone who's been subscribed and waiting patiently this has a bunch of extra stuff

games need more guys staggering around holding their side like they got shot in an old western, guys conspicuously taking a few steps after being shot to jump off of the nearest ledge or through the nearest window, guys being yanked backwards by a big cable after getting blasted with a shotgun,

specifically for older stuff it's irritating because they're removing tape hiss from the recording itself, not artifacts from the physical record. I get the impulse but there's a lot of information in there!

Really funny to me when somebody on soulseek has a FLAC of a vinyl rip they clearly ran through a terrible automatic noise removal filter. Why. You now have a 300MB album that sounds like a napster file from 1999

do we have any insight into how film distributors prep stuff for digital. Do they have their own custom compression tools, or do they just run everything through a Handbrake preset and call it a day?

IMPLIED MISERICORDE SPOILERS ⚠️ Long time no post! While I've been gone I've been reading Misericorde by Xeecee and had such a blast... This piece is just to have fun and decompress a little so apologies for the messiness-- #Misericorde

Monochrome Illustration of the Visual Novel 'Misericorde' by Xeecee with framing inspired by medieval illuminations. A Large "H" is framed in the center with two swords fitted within the H, as well as the words "Eyes up, Pervert". Above is Hedwig(?) looking at the viewer unclothed and drenched in rain. Below is another Hedwig sitting on a chair and writing on a book in a dark room. The pen covers her face.

2 Kings 2:24 is written behind Hedwig(?)
"@SpilledTe" is written on the center left.

I'm gonna do a longer write-up for the Patreon soon that'll go into more detail about all the bits and bobs, but 35 Electric is looking cool if I do say so myself

A screenshot of 35 Electric, a visual novel illustrated in a mid-century style. Three women in period clothing are standing on the sidewalk. The date in the top right corner reads "Downtown Coevorden, July 1959" and the main character is addressing the characters in front of her, saying "Oh, I wouldn't want to intrude. Don't you want to discuss the movie?"

yeah imo purple doesn’t mean any florid prose, just specifically stuff that’s aiming to be ornate but ends up feeling clunky

XEECEE @xeecee.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

this isn't unique advice but as a serial big-idea-haver I used to really suffer when I came up with something I couldn't realize immediately. This was total torture when I was doing comics. I feel way more satisfied now I can tell myself something that doesn't work now might be useful later

XEECEE @xeecee.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I wrote a bassline that's a much better fit for Misericorde than 35 Electric and I have to file it away for a while, but that's balanced out by a bunch of unused jazz ideas from Misericorde 2 that fit great in 35E. project harmony.....

If you want a nice looking watch that works dressed up or down, is vintage, and isn't expensive, imo a seiko 5 is the way to go. There's decades worth to choose from and can be found for 100-250 bucks depending on the year. Can't vouch for this seller specifically but check out the variety here
