So in the end I’m left looking for the catch when people make me an offer or appear out of the blue with honeyed words after leaving on bad terms. Because do they really want to make me an offer out of good faith or do they just see an opportunity when I’m vulnerable? Who knows? 🤷🏼

had no serious intention of meeting me which I confess was a possibility I had considered even before the date. So here I am and now in my adult life this has been my default because there are people who will take advantage of baseline good faith or be so negligent as to make no difference
