Yes, I also do that to myself, trying to find the issue in myself but then I quickly realize, these models won't find you a better answer. They only give you what they have been trained with. But it is an extremely lossy training. So once they made up their mind, they are stuck in that mindset.

Doing a public service here. While possible to ferment garlic cloves alone, the result is rather meh. Worse than that, the entire time bulk fermentation is going on, it produces a smell you don't want to have in your home. Also, color turns to an unappealing green but eventually to amber later. 😞

Farting is mostly done, so now I moved them in the Fridge. Want to keep as much of the flavor as possible. Already have long fermented chilies in other jars if want something super funky :)

And because we can't eat them all within two weeks, they now go in the freezer! Washed, dried, and removed the stalks. Flash-freezing them on a tray first, then putting them in a container- just like we do with pelmeni!

Harvest before bad weather, because my migraine barometer told me so .. only a handful left to still ripen now 🌶️

They don't go to waste, we already ate all of them. 😁 Not going to repeat the mistake of replanting Habanero seeds though. Result was meh. We will try to overwinter some of these Cayenne and the orange Habanero. 🤞

It's Hokkaido time! If you aren't going to fetch one from the stores right this moment, you are missing out! We put fresh Rosemary and Thyme from the balcony after backing them with potatoes in frozen goose fat left over from last year.

Starting to smell funky. Sadly the glass weight holding the halves down tipped over, letting many swim to the surface. Shouldn't be a problem, as the cloudy brine is telling me that the good guys won and the brine is now acidic. Also the protective CO2 layer above should prevent any mold.

Holy shit these orange Habanero are even sharper now. We took them inside each night since temperatures dropped down to 5C or so for a week now. We let the Cayenne out and that MF is still blooming ..

Only managed to do that while being at my parents. Foam came out everywhere. Even out of the detergent drawer. Got so many beatings for that. Still replaced the pump of that machine many years later by retrofitting a replacement pump from a newer model, despite the beatings. Slow learner. 🤷

We have extremely hard water here. There is no such thing as putting too much detergent into the machine. :)

I do that with the drier. Just make sure some larger cloth eats up all the smaller cloths and just tumbles around, occasionally touching the dryness sensor.

This little Fido jar of orange Habanero has cost us so much pain and suffering on the balcony. The chilies are now resting in a 3% salt brine. Hope it was worth it. They smell so gorgeous. Will update about the progress of the fermentation. Stay tuned.

Why do I love these Cayenne peppers? Everyone else already packed and went home and these are like: "Hey boss, can I stay? I still got work to do". Look at all these flowers! It's down to 9°C at nights now and this plant already produced plenty but seems like on a roll- Of course you can stay!

Starting to understand what is happening. The orange one is from seeds we bought. The red one we grew from the seeds of store bought habaneros. I am writing this post while I am in pain. This is a an orange Habanero. Tastes great and hurts. Goes well with hard boiled eggs. ❤️‍🔥
