Apparently the Cars re-release was ditched from one of my local theaters to make room for some Star Trek stuff instead — LUCKILY, it made it to the other local theater I have, so I can still see it in town! Seems to be gaining traction already, already there are so many going to the first showing.

Seating for the 11:30am showing, 9/4/2026. Already there are 13 people going to this showing… and yes, those are McQueens you see on the photo.

Close-up view of the McQueen occupation indicator. It is a crusty version of his 2006 stock render.

seeing how the cars rerelease and the avengers endgame* rerelease (*as Avengers Endgame: Encore in rerelease) are both releasing in the same month is kinda wild. I recently got tickets for Avengers Endgame: Encore in IMAX, and they are not gonna play it in 3D. youtu.be/L2NAh3CIdig?...

in all honestly, it is kinda wild that possibly Cars and Terminator 2 is coming back to theaters in 3D.

Go see Wildwood and Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom if you want more stop-motion films in theaters. Pass it on.

Rest in peace Hayden Panettiere, I always remember her for Channing Walsh in Racing Stripes, Dot from Bugs Life and shockingly when I noticed she was the voice as Kairi and Xion from Kingdom Hearts start from 2002 until she finished in 2017.

I myself am surprised I haven’t posted anything on BlueSky with more than four pictures yet. So, what’s say we fix that. As a start to this, here are the still pictures of Universal’s logo variant from #minionsandmonsters.

Also, apparently there’s a new animated short from Disney called Lilo & Scratch. Maybe it will drop on Disney+ this Friday (6/26 Day)?

Lilo & Scratch has been rated PG for “some action.”

Going to my first IMAX movie here in a bit… I know it’s 100% likely a “lieMAX” theater I’m going to, but it’s still gonna be fun to finally experience something in this format. ^^
