The news of Starmer standing up to Trump will likely be accompanied by this image...
An image of a man. It is framed from the shoulders up. He is wearing a black polo shirt, has stubble and has male pattern baldness.
The image is famous for accompanying a story on The Onion with the headline "Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Good Point"

Live footage from inside the OpenAI office:
Two old men with long grey hair and beards wearing robes stand in front of a large green metal box. The box is Deep Thought. A supercomputer from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Deep thought was programmed to give the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. After thinking for 7.5 million years, it gave the answer "42". And then was tasked with designing an even more super computer that took 10 million years to figure out what the question actually was.

The Overview Effect is when people see the earth from space and are overwhelmed by a profound connection to humanity. The question isn't "Why did Katy Perry turn into a hippy after 11 minutes in space?", it's "Why did Jeff Bezos come back an even greedier, morally bankrupt bawbag?"
William Shatner: "I had thought that going into space would be the ultimate catharsis of that connection I had been looking for between all living things-that being up there would be the next beautiful step to understanding the harmony of the universe. In the film "Contact," when Jodie Foster's character goes to space and looks out into the heavens, she lets out an astonished whisper, "They should've sent a poet." I had a different experience, because I discovered that the beauty isn't out there, it's down here, with all of us. Leaving that behind made my connection to our tiny planet even more profound.

It was among the strongest feelings of grief I have ever encountered. The contrast between the vicious coldness of space and the warm nurturing of Earth below filled me with overwhelming sadness. Every day, we are confronted with the knowledge of further destruction of Earth at our hands: the extinction of animal species, of flora and fauna... things that took five billion years to evolve, and suddenly we will never see them again because of the interference of mankind. It filled me with dread. My trip to space was supposed to be a celebration; instead, it felt like a funeral."

An image of a man in a black shirt with dark hair and a cross drawn on his forehead. The chyron reads "Mark Wahlberg's 40 day challenge"

The man is Mark Wahlberg who in 1986, at the age of 15 threw rocks at black children and called them the n-word and threatened to kill them. Then he did it again the next day. Then in 1988 he was convicted of the racially-motivated assault of a Vietnamese-American man.
Then in 1992 he was charged with the unprovoked assault of a neighbour after stamping on his head while someone held him down.

Looks like they hung around for Christmas dinner.
A page from the appendices of The Lord of the Rings showing that the fellowship departed Imladris on Christmas Day. At dusk, which probably means they hung around for dinner but then left before helping with the washing up. It was probably Boromir's suggestion, but there's no way Merry or Pippin had a problem with it.

The DV camera in question was the Canon XL-1. It was used for a couple of handheld "zombie-vision" shots and it's actually pretty hard to describe the impact this had on ultra low-budget filmmakers at the time. Seeing what was possible with, comparatively, accessible kit was a huge boost.
