Goo creatures of mysterious origin that find and inhabit long objects.
Merged with the object (typically a metal pipe), it becomes flexible and able to be bent and shaped to fit their preference.
No one has seen what one of the creatures look like fully outside a pipe shell, but their goo form is partially visible via the legs and arms.
They are genderless by default, though some may choose to mimic human expression.
Pipe creatures know local languages but typically prefer using body language to communicate themselves.
Their goo body is capable of changing form as well as merging completely with the pipe, making it appear as though its uninhabited until they reemerge. This includes the inside of the pipe as well as the outside.

[Title] - How we draw pipes. Aka: Tips we've learned from trying to figure out how to visualize these things well for 3 years. (These are not hard rules! This is just how we like to do it!)
[Section 1] - Their default shape is like an S with a long tail. We give a lot of length to the tail since it will be covered by the legs later.
[Section 2] - Build the structure out from the line. If needed it can help to visualize the tube in 3d space with curves throughout its length. There's no need for it to be the same size throughout! Squeezing and expanding the shape at points makes them look less rigid.

[Section 3] - Define the ends of the pipe for the head and tail just a little bit, we like to keep them thinner and more flush with the rest of the body. The legs are placed pretty far back on the body, we find that looks better than having them closer to the head.
There are many ways to draw the legs, canonically they have proper feet (with paws!) But when drawing them we often just like to do little pointed legs.
It's a pleasing shape to us.

[Section 4] - Cleaning everything up, add the face and hands. We like making their default pose kind of like a dinosaur with the hands down at the front, it fits their overall shape nicely.

[Tip 1] - Play around with head shapes! The eyes and head look best when presented very flexibly. The eyes can be anywhere on the head and at any angle, so do whatever is needed to make it work!
[Tip 2] - It can depend a lot on the piece and style used, but we like to define the opening of the pipe mouth as little as possible to indicate a bit of roundness/softness
