Update: it wasn’t as bad as I’d thought it would be because it was black tea, not coffee with milk. Soaked it in hot water and vinegar, scrubbed with soap and water, another vinegar soak, then dishwasher for the lid. The body is stainless steel. I think it’ll live.

Depends on the fabric you need. Spoonflower’s cotton “signature petal” is garbage, but their sateen is okay and I adore their minky. Their canvas is pretty good. Their polyester chiffon is also worth it. I think maybe their dyes/processes just don’t penetrate natural fibers very well.

I likened appreciation of physical aesthetic to seeing the absolute perfect color palette that sparks a certain nonverbal joy. I can absolutely see that a person is aesthetically attractive, and appreciate it, but it doesn’t turn the key in the ignition. I guess that is threatening?

I’m on my feet 50-60 hours a week at a day job in the operating room and a side hustle in the quilting studio. Pedicures are mostly a luxury, yes, but a not insignificant part of them is necessary care for my feet and legs that’s difficult for me to do myself. And self-care is never unimportant.
