It does go beyond "a mod shouldn't say that". It's "a mod did say that and needs to apologise and do better if they're staying on". I will also say that the longer it takes to get an apology out and improving things takes, the more good faith will rot.

1) apologizing and being sincere is not that hard. If you're a moderator for a community like RPHub then you're old enough to know that and follow through. 2) whether you like it or not a moderator's words WILL have more weight than a regular member. people are prone to seeing moderators
