Knitting friends, she is finished. My Bees Knees cardigan is done and I am so pleased with how she turned out. This project has been on the needles for three months (thanks heatwave), but I got it done just in time for autumn. Yarn is Yarnsmiths Merino DK Heathers in Red Grouse. #knitting #knitbsky

It feels like it's taken forever, but I only have the collar and button band to do. The Bees Knees pattern calls for 4 buttons but I've decided to do 5, as an odd number looks more visually pleasing to me. The yellow markers show where the short rows start for the shawl collar. #knitting #knitbsky

I finished the cables! The cabled panels of this pattern were to be knit separately & sewn to the back. I hate sewing, so I knit them on instead, joining them to the live back stitches & using a 3 needle bind off to join the two panels at the centre back. I think it came out pretty neat. #knitsky

There has been progress on my Bees Knees cardigan. The whole body is finished and the shoulders have been grafted. Next to finish the cable portion of the collar, before moving on to the sleeves, and finally the button band. #knitting #knitsky

I haven't done embroidery for a long time, but this new design from Wool & Pine is tempting me to dust off those skills. Forager is a 4ply, rectangular, knitted wrap, with a diamond cable pattern. Flowers are embroidered on to the surface in the finishing. #knitting www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

This week's #ShowMeYourKnits is shawls, and I currently have one on the needles. This is Fagus Sylvatica by Mia Rinde. As well as my WIP photo I've included one of the designer's own images as it looks quite different blocked. I'm using Malabrigo Ultimate Sock in Teal Feather.

First post here and I'm about to cast on a new project. I'm going to tackle The Bees Knees by Thea Colman. I don't usually make cardigans, but after years of being obsessed with circular yoke sweaters, I have finally admitted to myself that circular yokes don't actually fit me. #knitting
