It feels like it's taken forever, but I only have the collar and button band to do. The Bees Knees pattern calls for 4 buttons but I've decided to do 5, as an odd number looks more visually pleasing to me. The yellow markers show where the short rows start for the shawl collar. #knitting #knitbsky

I finished the cables! The cabled panels of this pattern were to be knit separately & sewn to the back. I hate sewing, so I knit them on instead, joining them to the live back stitches & using a 3 needle bind off to join the two panels at the centre back. I think it came out pretty neat. #knitsky

There has been progress on my Bees Knees cardigan. The whole body is finished and the shoulders have been grafted. Next to finish the cable portion of the collar, before moving on to the sleeves, and finally the button band. #knitting #knitsky

I haven't done embroidery for a long time, but this new design from Wool & Pine is tempting me to dust off those skills. Forager is a 4ply, rectangular, knitted wrap, with a diamond cable pattern. Flowers are embroidered on to the surface in the finishing. #knitting www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

Mend, alter and frog are the prompts for this week's #showmeyourknits which happens to include my current WIP. I'm making my Bees Knees cardigan in yarn I frogged from another project. It's Yarnsmiths Merino Heather's DK in Red Grouse.

My Bees Knees cardigan is now looking a lot more interesting than it did on Wednesday, when I had only knit the hem. I'm in love with just how neat this pattern is. Its like a warm bath for my brain. #knitbsky #knitting

This week's #ShowMeYourKnits is shawls, and I currently have one on the needles. This is Fagus Sylvatica by Mia Rinde. As well as my WIP photo I've included one of the designer's own images as it looks quite different blocked. I'm using Malabrigo Ultimate Sock in Teal Feather.

I am gradually cutting down on my streaming services. I cancelled Netflix and Spotify last year. I've just cancelled Disney+ and Audible. Paramount+ will be cancelled when Star Trek SNW finishes. Eventually all Meta accounts will be gone as well. It might not be much, but screw those tech bros.

First post here and I'm about to cast on a new project. I'm going to tackle The Bees Knees by Thea Colman. I don't usually make cardigans, but after years of being obsessed with circular yoke sweaters, I have finally admitted to myself that circular yokes don't actually fit me. #knitting
