A drawing of the author's OC/Sona Comet Chimera sitting before a graph-paper esque background, atop a cosmic floor. They are smiling as they spin a planet from nothingness, perhaps like cotton candy or a throwing wheel.

A black woman with natural hair wearing a green wreath, skull earrings, and a black gown, sits with her son on her lap. He is wearing a golden laurel wreath, shorts, and a polo/sweater vest. She's smiling at him while he looks on curiously. They're both sitting in a nondescript gradient background.

I don't love gradient maps but that's probably because I just don't have enough practice with them. I think this looks neat either way.

Here's my take on the 7 Deadly Sins from 2023. I'm using 9 total in reference to an esoteric branch of pseudoscience. These guys were made for a conceptual space and are due for a redesign for sure haha. #Art #CharacterDesign

A detailed height chart with 9 horned figures. They're all color coded and representation of the 7 traditional deadly sins plus 2 more. From left to right they are representative of: Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Fear, Deceit, and Pride.

Knights with weird weapons! For a small-ish character design project. #Knight #FantasyArt #OC #CharacterDesign #Illustration

$An assortment of the half-bodies of nine (9) colorful knights in full suits of armor. Above each of their heads is their corresponding weapon, all of which are inspired by various non-weapon implements. From left to right there is: An umbrella, a baseball bat, a shield of some kind, a monkey wrench, a large hooped staff, a sword that vaguely resembles a pair of scissors, a sword that resembles a fluorescent bulb, a sword that resembles a fire poker, and a sword that resembles a large jawbone fractured from some great beast.$

I unpinned my first serious about-post bc it needed to be updated. I tend to have a new one ready at the start of each year, so I figured I would just wait until then. :P In the mean time, here's a little bit about me for anyone who stumbles upon my work otherwise.

LIST: BFA in Animation, MA in Illustration, Full Time Job. 28 years old. I have friends and people I care about who care about me, who don't just provide me with delusional lip service and actually try to help me solve problems. I've started my own Studio Practice. I have a wide variety of skills and interests pertaining to the arts and beyond. I did not break out into the industry with my unique perspective and skillset, but I have been the envy of people equally as talented and practiced, or even moreso. I did not realize how deeply I was being overlooked and mistreated until recently, and I only have myself to blame. I aspire to be in spaces where my voice is reached by people who are willing to learn, who are willing to change their minds, who are willing to do the work. One day, I want to teach. I've spent my time cultivating insight and now I'm going to use it.

I've spent a lot of my life trying to get along with people who actually, just suck. It's nobody's fault, but I can only be responsible for myself, so I'm learning how not to do that anymore.

I am not Terminally Online. I do not know and I do not care.

The Sketching Shall Continue Until Morale Improves 😤 #sketchtag #workbyraine

A young fella' with curly anime hair holding a phone and looking to the right (our left). The symbols next to them are Mars and an altered planetary symbol that denotes "neutrois"

A young black woman looking to the left (our right). The symbol next to her is Venus, but the line crossing the circle denotes "neutrois"

The author's interpretation of Anansi the Spider, hunched forward and prowling on all of his arms reminiscent of a kind of monster. He says aloud "I'm gonna' smash yer head in, little lady" to someone in particular. They know who they are.

The same character from the first drawing in an entirely different context. They are holding the decapitated head of a monster shaped like a tiger, and the freshly killed corpse of a smaller monster shaped like a bird. :) It's a metaphor.
