You know you’re a Cubs fan when you stay up late to watch their playoff games because you believe! In a playoff run despite our pitching destroying any hope inning after inning. 🐻⚾️🧢

A huge thank you to Robin for all her contributions to this work, her mentorship throughout the project, and for being one of the best humans to work with. I am also very grateful to Roger Edwards for his guidance and support throughout the publication process.

This is especially exciting for me because it is both my first publication and my first first-author publication. I can't believe I get to say I am a published author now!

In this work, we examine ZDR column behavior in tornadic and nontornadic supercells using both observational and simulated X-band radar data. So if you're interested in how ZDR columns may evolve in the lead-up to tornadogenesis (or tornadogenesis failure), give it a read!

Exciting news! Our manuscript, "ZDR Column Behavior in Real and Simulated X-band Radar Observations of Potentially Tornadic Storms" based on my Master's research with @tornatrix.bsky.social is now published in the Electronic Journal of Severe Storms Meteorology. ejssm.com/ojs/index.ph...

Attempted to take some still shots from my full video of the Saint Libory, NE tornado. As we and the tornado were moving fast, it was hard to get any stills that didnt blur. But the evolution is still incredible.

Illinois has a new #hail record. 🧊 This week, IBHS joined scientists at NIU to confirm the largest hailstone ever recorded in the state, using our advanced 3D scanning technology. From the March 10 storm, the stone measured 168.05 mm at its max and 93.03 mm at its minimum, weighing 557.2 grams.
