It is a day of celebration, for there is one less Ailanthus altissima (tree of heaven) in the neighborhood. Grateful for local government in action taking care of dead trees in the city ROW. (The workers are still there cleaning up, just didn't want to include them in my photo.)

Ooh, that's a good one. I grew up in the area (shoutout to Shawsville), so I spent a lot of time on campus and in Blacksburg growing up. It's very familiar to me. The camaraderie that comes with being a Hokie is hard to describe, but shared highs and lows make the community something special.
