Blackdown is the highest point in the South Downs National Park and in Sussex. It reaches a height of 918ft. It is just across the border from Surrey and near to where I live.🥾

"Hosta 'Patriot' is a shade-loving perennial featuring magnificent variegated foliage and summer flowers that last until October.

In 1666, the first wooden fort—Fort Saint-Jean—was erected on the banks of the Richelieu River at the initiative of Alexandre de Prouville de Tracy. The urban core developed within the fortifications. Initial urban expansion outside the fort took place around 1750, and the nascent village core was consolidated between 1776 and 1786 by the massive influx of Loyalists. A suburb formed along the road leading to Chambly (now Richelieu Street) and was named "The Rookery." St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, a Canadian city in the Haut-Richelieu area of the Montérégie region.
