Phlox, the doctor from Star Trek Enterprise. He's smiling a little more exaggeratedly than humans can smile. Like other Denobulans, he looks mostly human but with a ridge that runs from each cheekbone around the eye sockets and up the forehead toward where a window's peak would be. Except for the ridge, it's not that far from the weird distortions Richard James loves to do to his own face in his album art and music videos.

A huge lightening bolt strikes the dome of an official building in DC on the cover art of the Bad Brains first album. It's actually the Capitol but for a long time I thought it was striking the White House. Notably, the album art is all red, yellow, green, and black.

In my experience, @zettlr.com handles this sort of visual split very well. The first image is from the app's site. And at least on MacOS, recent versions of the app also use transparency for that left-most "Workspace" file navigation pane background—an approach I can't recall seeing elsewhere.

Hopefully this helps somehow? The yellow zones are power outages. It just added the name of the Cloverdale Fire, but clicking on it doesn't say how many acres or etc. The Mcconn Fire says it's about 7 acres. Hopefully that's all you're smelling?

The u-card of Public Enemy's Fear of a Black Planet opened flat. The front cover image is on the right, the artist and album name on the spine in the middle, and the track listing is to the left. I think this was the first cassette I has with a u-card, a bigger track listing panel, not just a j-card. And definitely the first with a separate fold-out lyric sheet folded up like a tiny map.

It's a desert and you can see clear to a slightly hazy horizon. There's a weird shape in the foreground and if you look closer it eventually becomes obvious that you're seeing the backside support material of something multiple stories high, painted in various colors. It looks very ramshackle, and the Please Do Not Enter sign doesn't detract from that vibe. In the middle distance there are a several old RVs that help give a sense of vast scale.
