And now my watch has ended
I knew that it would happen eventually, but I didn’t quite expect it to happen today. As of this post, myself and WebDevStudios have parted ways, after 13 years and 7 months. The type of work within…

Young women, do not fear aging. It is the accumulation of wisdom. Only pedophiles and fascists object to feminine maturity.

My count of level- and career-appropraite jobs that have had the headcount yoinked mid-loop is now at 8. Every time, it seems like an incredibly good fit. Every time, the headcount gets axed I'm tired still looking for Developer Relations, OSPOs, and developer infrastructure roles <3

Why yes, on Wednesday I _was_ presenting a very high-profile meeting at work - why do you ask? (Sorry that FitBit doesn't make it easier to export a graph more nicely)
A screenshot of Jamie's FitBit app, showing the heartrate for a ~90 minute period of time, leading up to the meeting.

The first heartrate spike is at 1450 (up to 114bpm), immediately before the meeting, and as I'm preparing myself with a final runthrough and check that everything's ready.

It relaxes down to 92bpm while other parts of the meeting are going on, a quick spike up to 110bpm as it's noted that I'm going to be presenting later.

A few minutes before I talk - at 1530 - my heartrate drops down to 84bpm (as I'm mentally playing "Moving On - Phaeleh") and then spikes to 107bpm as I start to speak at 1540.

Nothing but love for @www.jvt.me for helping with this! I saw Jamie speak at DevOpsDays maybe 4 years ago and knew he was an all-star I wanted to know one day. I'm thankful that DevOpsDays this year I finally made that happen and it already proven I should have prioritised it sooner! 🤩
