Just published my first short 🐨 Built a pipeline for Ukulalala that sythesizes audio with a simple Karplus-Strong model and syncs it with the Remotion pipeline to render the chord progressions from my library Can generate any chords or progression. All fully automated, no samples #buildinpublic

- Trying to make OSS development sustainable with a simple perpetual license. No subscriptions/recurring costs, no open-core or proprietary features. It's all MIT, in the same repo, with a license check on 2 features. OSS folks still get mad they have to fork it out themselves 🥲

- Switched from GPLv3 to MIT. Copyleft seems novel but realistically, I wouldn't have any way to enforce it. Since code is cheap (AI), people will just re-write if they want. MIT just simplifies, and makes it fully permissive to genuine users/contributors.

Around 1900 BCE a scribe carved hieroglyphs in the Egyptian tomb of Khnumhotep II. He swapped standard symbols for unusual ones. Scholars still don't know exact purpose, but it was most likely to add mystery, and impress visitors. Almost 4,000 years old the oldest form of recorded "cryptography".
