Me when I can only remember someone's derby name #RollerDerby #Frieren

Screencap from the Frieren anime showing a close up of Sein reminiscing about his childhood friend. The subtitle reads, "Goes by Gorilla Warrior."

Screencap from the Frieren anime showing Stark looking skeptical. The subtitle reads, "What is his real name?"

Screencap from the Frieren anime showing Sein again, now turned towards Stark. He still looks thoughtful but a little more confused now. The subtitle reads, "His real name?"

Happy birthday to me, I just found my government name in a @what-eats-owls.bsky.social book lol (well, spelled a little different but close enough)

Photo of a page from the book Holy Terrors by Margaret Owen. Most of the text is blacked out for spoilers and is irrelevant to the post. The name of a character, Magdelin, is circled.

Anyway I watched this episode last night and I think losing a limb would've hurt less

Screencap from the anime Delicious in Dungeon. It shows the characters Laios and Shuro mid-argument. Laios is yelling, "If it was so hard to be around me, you should've told me back then so I knew!"

Just looked at the allergy forecast for the rest of this week. Persephone is trying to kill me.

Screenshot of an allergy forecast for April 21-25, 2025. Day 1 is 9.6, day 2 is 10.5, day 3 is 10.9, day 4 is 10.9, and day 5 is 11. All of the numbers are in the red, showing that allergies will be very severe this week.

Watched the first four episodes last night and I made a chart #Trigun #DevilMayCry #NetflixDevilMayCry

Illustration showing a venn diagram. On the left side is an illustration of Vash the Stampede by Yasuhiro Nightow, showing both the manga version and Trigun Stampede version of Vash. On the right is a screenshot of Dante from the Netflix Devil May Cry anime. In the intersecting part of the diagram are the following statements: sharpshooter, dramatic red coat, twin brother (maybe evil?), dead mom, Johnny Yong Bosch, not (completely) human, got a bounty on his head, arm transforms and does some weird shit?, Catholic guilt, kept in line by a woman with short dark hair.

I know the "Tomorrows" line in #Trigun is heartwrenching, but there's also a hint of hope and love. Allowing yourself to dream of a better world despite the odds being stacked against you. Anyway lately I've been thinking that "I want to see tomorrow with you," feels defiantly hopeful.

Panel from Trigun Maximum. The text reads, That's why, after everything's been said and done, I wanted to see tomorrow with him.

Oldest selfie on my phone: June 2021. I think I was off to go be the gayest person at the church young adults group and I was really happy with the outfit I picked out.

Mirror selfie of Maggie, a plus size white woman. She is wearing a red t shirt, a gray baseball cap backwards, and a black ring on the middle finger of her left hand. She has a cloth face mask with a pattern that looks like dice for dungeons and dragons. She is holding her phone in one hand and making a peace sign with the other.

Personally I think every wedding party should have a Mean Queer™️to guard the door to the bridal suite when the door doesn't actually lock.

Photo of Maggie, a plus size white woman with short curly brown hair and glasses. She is wearing a dark green half-zip sweatshirt and black leggings. She is standing in front of a set of double doors with her arms crossed and a serious expression on her face, sort of like a bouncer at a club or concert venue.

I want to dress as comfy as possible for Family Christmas Shenanigans and I can't decide if my Trigrunge shirt is the most or least appropriate thing to wear. I mean, it has a cross on it, so... maybe? #Trigun

Photo of a black t-shirt with a white design. It shows Wolfwood's Cross Punisher gun and Vash's handgun, both from Trigun. At the base of the image is a field of flowers, likely geraniums. Text above the image reads "Love and Peace." The whole graphic has a very distressed/grungy aesthetic.

6) Remember that late 2000s/early 2010s emo aesthetic? That's Trevor. He had a bit of a gay awakening over the summer and now it feels like nothing makes sense. And he has to decide on a college?? At least he's got his friends and his music. #WritingCommunity Picrew: picrew.me/en/image_mak...

Graphic with more info about Trevor. It reads Trevor, Ace Witch. Emo Teen, Age 17, Pansexual. Average Hot Topic Customer. At the bottom is a black and white photo of a rock concert in a club.

5) Ingrid is a witch with a grudge. She had a cottage in the middle of nowhere, trying her best to stay under the radar. When a stranger interrupts an important ritual, Ingrid curses her in retaliation. Unfortunately, it backfires. #WritingCommunity Picrew: picrew.me/en/image_mak...

Illustration of Ingrid made with a Picrew by PepperJackets. She is a white woman with pale blond hair. She has a peach-colored turtleneck under a gray cardigan.

Graphic with more info about Ingrid. It reads, Ingrid, Ace Witch. The Witch in Question. Older than you. Sexuality is... followed by three question marks. Sometimes her curses go haywire. At the bottom is a photo of an old cottage in the woods.

💜💜 4) If you saw this before, no you didn't. Introducing Olivia Mae from my "Ace Witch" project. She's a wanderer, lover of books, and has a cat named Lyla (short for Hippolytus, don't ask). She might be cursed to live forever, but she's making the most of it! #WritingCommunity

Illustration of Olivia Mae made with a Picrew app by Pepper Jackets. Olivia is a white woman with freckles and glasses. Her brown hair is in a shoulder-length bob. She wears a green t shirt with a flower graphic underneath a brown button-down shirt.

A graphic with more info about Olivia. It reads, Olivia Mae, Ace Witch. Immortal Bookseller. Age: It's Complicated. Asexual. Of course she named her cat after an obscure Greek figure. At the bottom is a photo of a shelf of old books.

Now that I've intro-ed the trio, here's a bonus. #ProjectQuest is a fantasy story, but I like to imagine there's an alternate timeline out there where they get to go to a modern day pride festival. I commissioned my friend Erin to make it a reality! Check out Erin's IG: www.instagram.com/elysienn/

An illustration of Myrina, Adrien, and Silas from Project Quest. They are wearing modern clothes and standing in front of a rainbow flag banner, posing as if they are having their picture taken. Myrina is on the left, wearing a blue tank top and purple shorts. She has a wristband in the colors of the bisexual flag and pink and blue sneakers. Adrien is in the middle wearing dark blue jeans and a t shirt that says Space Ace. He is wearing a combination aromantic and asexual flag like a cape. Silas is on the right wearing light washed jeans and a purple t shirt under a black hoodie. There is a patch on his jacket with the demisexual flag.

3) Silas rounds out the #ProjectQuest trio. He's a bounty hunter with a... certain reputation. Underneath it though, he's extremely loyal to the people he cares about. Silas also knows a lot about herbs and medicines, and is a surprisingly skilled cook. #WritingCommunity (art by emily.e.draws on IG)

Artwork of Silas. He has brown skin, pale blue eyes, and dark hair tied back in a low knot. His face is serious. He is wearing a black tunic and a backpack. He has a belt around his waist with several pouches, and a staff is at his side.

A graphic with more info about Silas. It reads: "Silas Hariri: Project Quest. Bounty hunter, age 24, demisexual. Perpetually grumpy but an excellent cook." At the bottom is a photo of an cookpot over a fire.

2) Next up: Myrina! She's a soldier from mountainous Lamori and the oldest of three siblings, so she's used to looking out for others. You'll never see her without her sword or the pendant of her patron saint. She can be intense, but she always has a good campfire story. (art by emily.e.draws on IG)

Artwork of the character Myrina. She has warm brown skin and dark brown hair that's braided over one shoulder. She wears a blue tunic underneath a set of leather armor that covers her shoulders, forearms, and chest. A sword is belted at her side. Around her neck is a gold-colored pendant that appears to have some kind of engraving on it. Her left arm is propped on her hip and she looks confident and capable.

A graphic with more details about Myrina. It reads: Myrina Stamos, Project Quest. Captain in the Lamorian Army, age 23, bisexual. Will keep you, safe, especially if you give her irises. At the bottom is a photo showing a sword lying in the snow.

1) Meet Adrien from #ProjectQuest! He's a prince born with magic that's illegal in the nation he's destined to rule. He spends his time reading and dreaming of the world beyond the palace walls. He always sees the best in others and will talk your ear off about history. (art by emily.e.draws on IG)

An illustration of Adrien. He is a boy with wavy blond hair, white skin, and green eyes. He wears a sage green tunic belted around his middle and a brown bag slung over one shoulder. His right arm has a lightning scar, and his left hand is raised, surrounded by small sparks. He is grinning widely.

An image with additional information about Adrien. The text reads: "Adrien Bryton, Project Quest. Crown Prince of Reystrell. Age 15. Aromantic Asexual. Loves his dog and loves his friends." At the bottom of the image is a photo of a wax seal bearing the image of a crown.

It's my last day of work before the holiday break and to celebrate I want to talk about #writing! I have several different projects so I'll pop around between them to keep things interesting. #WritingCommunity #AmWriting #WriteSky #Authors

One of my favorite projects I worked on this year was my Purple Vash-inspired outfit that I wore to @otakon.bsky.social 2024. I put a lot of time into finding the right pieces and I'm really proud of the result! (Alt text has descriptions and more details.) #Trigun #cosplay #Otakon #VashTheStampede

Photo of Maggie at Otakon 2024. She is wearing an outfit inspired by Vash in episode 12 of Trigun Stampede. It consists of a black dress, fishnet tights, and black combat boots with purple laces. Over the dress she is wearing a black denim vest with patches and decorations inspired by the series. More details can be seen in the other photos. Maggie is grinning at the camera with her fingers crossed, mimicking Vash's "love and peace" pose from the 1998 anime.

Close up photo of the vest Maggie is wearing in the first photo. This part of the vest has a Project Seeds rectangular patch, a purple button that reads "I should have partied harder in 1999," and a patch of Vash's gun surrounded by purple flowers. There are silver/gunmetal studs and purple studs decorating the vest.

Another close up photo of Maggie's vest from the first photo. This part of the vest has a patch with the asexual flag that reads "Ace Gunman," and a circular black patch with a purple border that has an icon that looks like an angel wing. The circular patch reads "AGL Arms Factory." Both patches are in reference to the 1998 Trigun anime. Above the "Ace Gunman" patch are two pins: a purple one with she/her pronouns on it, and a black one with a graphic of a hand with its fingers crossed. There is also a short purple chain attached to the vest, which has black charms shaped like a cross and a rose. This part of the vest is also decorated with silver/gunmetal studs and purple studs.

A photo of the back of Maggie's vest. It is decorated with a pair of black lace angel wings. They sort of blend in with the fabric of the vest, making the design more subtle.

I think I need to go. Right? I need to go to #Zenkaikon2025 with my Mitsuri Kanroji cosplay. (which means I need to fix the wig but one step at a time)

Photo of Maggie wearing a cosplay of Mitsuri Kanroji from the manga/anime Demon Slayer. The outfit consists of a black pleated skirt and black uniform jacket. Maggie is wearing a pink and green braided wig, hot pink glasses, and knee-high green striped socks. She is carrying a foam katana and smiling at the camera.

I have a serious backlog of these so here, have a bunch while I procrastinate on going to bed #Bleach #Anime

Screencap of Yumichika from Bleach. It's from a filler episode, and he looks same as usual except he's wearing a chef's uniform. The caption reads "Sir those eyelashes are not OSHA compliant"

Screencap from Bleach showing Renji and Ichigo in the Hueco Mundo are. They're both standing with their arms folder, looking rather smug. It is clear there are no thoughts going on inside their heads. The caption says "They're both so stupid, they lost Rukia and the IQ of the group immediately dropped"

Screencap from Bleach showing the characters Rukia and Ashido. Ashido is an anime-only character and is a soul reaper who was trapped in the hollow world. The caption reads "oh he's kinda" followed by a series of eye emojis. The joke is that Maggie, the poster, thinks he's pretty

10 years later I've been diagnosed with two anxiety disorders and also ADHD. No one is surprised by this.

Nothing gayer than male characters in a mid-2000s shonen #Bleach

Screencap from the anime Bleach. It's a flashback scene of two characters, Ikkaku and Yumichika, walking out the door. Their backs are turned to the camera. The caption reads "Listen. There's something about these two that's a little 🏳️‍🌈🤨". The caption ends with two emojis, a rainbow pride flag and a face with a raised eyebrow. The joke is that there doesn't seem to be a heterosexual explanation for this.

Imagine being the only person with any sense and also you're twelve

A screencap from the anime Bleach. It shows five characters: Renji Abari, Yumichika Ayasegawa, Ikkaku Madarame, Rangiku Matsumoto and Toshiro Hitsugaya. All five of them are wearing school uniforms so as to look like students. Their disguises leave something to be desired. The caption reads "There are five brain cells in this shot and they all belong to Hitsugaya"

I will not be taking criticism at this time thank you

Screencap from the anime Bleach. It shows the characters Rukia and Renji in a flashback - they are both wearing student uniforms. Rukia is yelling at Renji, which is funny because she is about half as tall as he is. Renji appears unsure of what to do. He's blushing. The caption reads, "He's giving boy failure."

I'm currently making my way through "Out in Central Pennsylvania" by William Burton and Barry Loveland, which is about the LGBTQ+ history of my region. I read nonfiction slowly (I already had to return it to the library once lol) but it's really good!
