ICE & U.S. Customs & Border Protection employed at least 30 people with sexual & violent criminal histories in recent years. At least 20 agents committed offenses with underage victims. The bulk of abuse happened within the last two years. This article includes names of the agents.

Apparently the institutions are riddled with accused sex criminals.

I’ve always contended the best thing about living in the USA is not being a victim of its foreign policies.

This morning I went to a talk given by Richard Bausch put on by the OC branch of California Writers Club. It was a great talk and then I finally bought his new book Fate of Others. His inscription to me, however made me cry. His grace and kindness is such a gift.

"For Margaret, who can write as well as I ever did."

I have only 2 uncles—a drunk who once talked shit about me, and a Christian missionary. I’ve come to really appreciate the latter—he’s mellowed with age & while I know the time he spent w me in my youth was to convert me—he did take me to cool stuff and makes an effort to see me when in country.
