I had a little lady giggling because I said hi in Vietnamese. Some languages I can't learn, they only speak, before French took over, each reagen have diffent way of saying things, it is complex. I know about 5 at least basics, lost Spanish and French. I don't speak it much anymore.

I do think language is the gateway to culture, shows respect. I learnt northern Vietnamese, they love seeing people try all said, I spoke perfectly. Just basic goes a long, long way. Numbers are important. For money. People who spoke English would teach me as well. Hard for them to speak English.

Same here..... I’m excited to see it. I hope to learn more about the war history if I have time. The history there is amazing, and Ho Chi Minh sounds like an incredible leader who did a lot for his people. I’ll mostly be in northern Vietnam, making vlogs, videos, and photography along the trip.
