Ich auch nie. Ich denke ich war 2 mal dabei als anderen gebollert haben. Silvester und die paar Tage davor und die Woche danach sind immer schlimm. Silvester ist immer ein grauenvolles Erlebnis.

Well said, I am always amazed at how the USA quickly forgets their own origins, when refugees come knocking at the door. After years of taking in refugees in Europe, I see a lot of people who are less receptive than they were. As an immigrant, I treat all refugees as immigrants, like me.

I bought 6 1TB systems and 150 PCs and laptops just before the prices started rising, had to buy a 16GB upgrade for a laptop this week, nearly fell off my stool, when I saw the price! RAM plus battery was nearly as much as the laptops from October!

@thebishf1.bsky.social just watched F1 on AppleTV. Good, but not great. It seemed to be Grand Prix meets Days of Thunder, with a bit of Silver Dream Racer mixed in for good measure. Very enjoyable, but I think Frankenheimer did it better. GP on track was more visceral, I think.

That brought back memories. My brother & friends went to Le Mans in the mid 90s. Moet was cheaper than beer, so they bought 2 cases and drank a bottle every hour. Also the Austin Healey as Mark at Montlhéry, he got to go around the banking in a100/4.

Unfortunately not. It was one of my favourite toys, my father had the GXL in the same colour, so it had a place in my heart. But there were passed on down the family tree somewhere. A cousin got all the cars and Lego, I think.

I’m stressed, so Wellness weekend… train 45 minute delay, at hotel, wellness closed due to no staff (not mentioned on website). Today, new shoes gave me blisters, which burst before I got back to hotel. Fire alarm as I was taking a nap. Hobbled to chemists for blister plasters.
