@tanaki No, that was the special edition. This is unfortunately the new 2028 refresh for everyone.

How do Slack users live without quote reply? This seems like such a basic feature.

@tanaki If you were the most vain person on the planet, what would you do to the new passport design?

@tanaki Should be easy to guess

I managed to set off fall detection on the Apple watch. Also learned that you can’t acknowledge it in water mode.

Well… if anyone has a FC room they don’t need, hit me up.

Once again, I don’t seem to know anyone who actually was selected for the FC room lottery.

Update
Photo of a hand holding a small torque wrench. The wrench is only about 2x the length of the hand. The handle is black knurled metal and rotates to adjust the torque setting. The rest of the wrench is silver. A micrometer scale for the torque setting is visible along the handle.

@CursedSilicon The sunscreen is weird. Making soap from tallow is a practice that is thousands of years old, though.

There was decent visibility lower down. #PNW #hiking
View from the trail looking out into a valley. On the far aide, a rocky jagged ridge protrudes upwards from a slope covered in scree, evergreen trees, and shrubby vegetation. Dark green, light green, orange, red, brown, and yellow colors are visible in the vegetation.

The scramble gains about 600 ft over the last 0.6 miles. Foot and hand holds were not a problem, although there was a lot of loose rock. The route is climber’s right of the ridge. Falling would entail sliding along the rocky surface (“human cheese grater”) before a 1,000 ft drop. #PNW #hiking
View looking back down at the trail from above the main portion of the scramble. The ridge extends down to the left with the rocky scramble surface extending down to the left. The scramble ends where the ridge appears to level off. The trail continues into a forested section that disappears into the clouds. Only the scramble and a small area of trees is visible due to the cloud cover.View looking up at the trail from below the main portion of the scramble. The ridge extends up to the right with the rocky scramble surface extending down to the right. The terrain disappears into the clouds.View looking straight down along the main portion of the scramble surface. It appears as a steep and rocky but relatively flat surface that disappears into the clouds below. The ridge the trail sits on can be seen down below to the right.View looking along the ridge up towards the butte from just above the main portion of the scramble. The remaining portion of the scramble is less uniform. The terrain disappears into the clouds in the distance.

McClellan Butte. 7 mi, 3,195 ft (from FR 9020). #PNW #hiking Finally cleared to hike again! Unfortunately, the peak was in the clouds the entire time I was up there. Still enjoyable, though. The class 3 scramble at the top was a nice feature.
Photo of the peak. It is covered in sharp chunks of rock of various sizes and sparse shrubby vegetation. Visibility is limited to about 200 ft due to clouds, so nothing else is visible.View looking down the ridge off the northeast end of the butte. The ridge is like a narrow fin of rock that descends quickly out of sight through the clouds.View looking north from the butte. The I90 corridor is visible about 3,600 ft below through gaps in the clouds.View of the butte from the closest switchback before the scramble. It appears as a jagged rocky peak that disappears into the clouds. The terrain near the viewer is covered in moss and shrubby plants.

Classic PNW weather
Photo from the perspective of a person sitting on a rock ledge with their feet hanging over the edge. The rock ledge is visible at the bottom of frame, sparsely covered with lichen and moss. The person is wearing long, gray pants and leather boots with orange and black laces. The rest of the frame is simply gray due to fog.

View from the web dashboard. Kind of funny that you can easily spot the two periods.
Screenshot from the app.airgradient.com dashboard showing CO2 over the last 48 hours. The cycling from the periodic force air exchange the previous night and the spike from no air exchange the preceding night are clearly visible.

CBP website has incorrect information. If you have NEXUS, you can only go to a NEXUS enrollment center. There are very few NEXUS enrollment centers, in comparison with “any CBP Trusted Traveler enrollment center”, and they are basically only on the US-Canada border.
Screenshot from cbp.gov that reads:

If I am already a member of a CBP trusted traveler program, do I still have to visit an enrollment center to complete my U.S. APEC Business Travel Card application?

Yes, once CBP determines you are eligible to participate in the APEC program you must provide an electronic signature that will be printed on the APEC Business Travel Card. You can complete the interview/signature collection process via Enrollment on Arrival when returning to the U.S. from an international flight or at any CBP Trusted Traveler enrollment center, no appointment necessary.
