Had to glare a guy out of the salon during my haircut. He was, I believe, selling salon management software, but he actually refused to answer that directly. This place doesn't take walk-ins so he just entered and came straight to the back room where my hair was getting cut. And wouldn't leave.

Gastrointestinal Update: Have seen the gastroenterologist. She does not want to immediately go for an ERCP (especially because of the pancreatitis risk). However, she's much more concerned about seeing the damage to my esophagus from a lifetime of severe acid reflux. Tube down throat still on.

I had a teacher in high school ask if we were scared to die. I lied yes, assuming that was the normal answer. He said he wasn't, that when you get older you don't fear death. I fear death more every day. There are people to stay for, to squeeze out as much time with them as possible.

Currently cringing my way through the second season of TNG where they tried to do a Spock&McCoy dynamic with Pulaski and Data, but where Spock could give back what he got, Data is deeply earnest and lacks a distinct sense of self, so Dr. Pulaski is just bullying the hell out of the guy.

I have just discovered that making up a pallet on the floor to sleep, especially as a kid at a sleepover, just blankets and floor, maybe a thin cushion if you had camping stuff around or money you spent on floor-sleeping-accoutrements for children for some reason, is apparently a very regional term.
