And in case it’s still too complicated… AI “art” is stealing from, like, every artist, then profiting from that theft without the creator’s consent. Saying you can’t make your book or comic without it is saying YOU can’t make it. If you need someone else’s art to sell… pay them for it. Period.

My New Favorite Thing is being on a reply-all chain where the main participants are obviously using AI to write. It's basically just Claude talking to itself. Just pages of "That's an excellent suggestion, but let me push back on..." and "your second point is doing a lot of heavy lifting..."

Favorite AI verbal tic that’s a genuinely good rhetorical method but immediately makes me suspicious of anyone who uses it? “That’s not X, it’s Y doing Z.” Once you start watching for it, you see it everywhere. It’s not evidence, it’s bias acting like pattern recognition.
