KS Gale, who I finished last month. She’s pretty tiny so this was challenging but also so fun!

I’m ALREADY FOLLOWING YOU IN ALL PLACES

There’s a slow rumbling of a few of them trying here, you mind start to see them around! Model horse people are batshit, they’d fit in fine here. I’m so, so glad you’re happy here!!!

(Temporary pin!) I’m Teddy! I draw dogs and skeletons and plants but mostly these days I paint model horses.

I was lucky that when Musk took over twitter I was already starting to withdraw from it as a platform but we all lost so much - moots, friends, followers, business - when that platform crashed and burned. Model horse people ain’t ever abandoning fb but I’d like to encourage them to try.

Did we know each other on twitter? Are we moots on model horse insta or fb? Please interact with this! Pulling two separate social circles together onto one platform was not on my bingo list for 2024 but it’s cool!

I managed to carve out a new niche and social circle on Facebook and instagram but neither of them have the sort of functionality that twitter (and also they’re both Meta 🤢) had and I’m so sad to have lost the moots and friends I had there. I’m hoping to rekindle those friendships here 💕

I used to think I could make Twitter a better, more positive place. I poured years of my life there, and I was reluctant to leave. 40k+ followers. The soil is bad. No matter how you water it, it’s just not the right place for growth.

I’m so excited!!! I also totally forgot to ask if you’ll be at Birmingham in 2026. I’m attending with a friend and would love your signature in my physical copy if you’d be up for that? 👉👈

I’ve finished Rise & Reign of the Mammals in its audiobook form which means I’m now officially out of audiobooks again. Could listen to the lovely @restingdinoface.bsky.social’s book AGAIN though, it’s been at least two years.

I do still draw, sometimes. These characters were designed for BMECS (British Model Equestrian Championships team) to use as mascots/merch! My plan for here is to maybe upload some of my paintwork, but also some of my older digital art - for nostalgia! We’ll see.

Clark, who I painted between July and September!

I haven’t been on here since the first twitter exodus and I’m hoping to reconnect with moots and friends I lost contact with back then 💔 just so yall are aware, I’ve more or less dropped off with digital art? It wasn’t making me too happy, but painting plastic horses does make me happy.

She’s in my country so there’s always a chance she might be at BMECS. it’s on fucking sight.

There is one homophobic/doxxing/mean ass bitch in the model horse community who is genuinely gonna get smacked one day at a show. She keeps running her mouth expecting no one to react. Actions have consequences, you absolute pile of dogshit person.

If you’d like first dibs on a full body carousel piece (£95) or a headshot commission (£70) please let me know! I’m finishing off my queue first but then will be opening limited slots for both of these! 🎠✨

I realise how specific that sounds but it’s an incredibly niche way of stoppering my progress, success or wins in shows in a hobby I literally introduced her to. She’s also mad that I’m getting good at sculpting because she wanted it to be ‘only her thing’ (again, I was doing this before her)

100

(example - always judging model horses I painted as second place, never first, so I can’t ever progress to champs when she judges, but also so she can go ‘wooow you got second!!!’ even with horses who are consistently judged as champs by other judges)

000

This all reads as so familiar. Unfortunately their major way of doing this presently has been very passive aggressively making sure I succeed but NOT QUITE ENOUGH (1/2)

WORM! (teddy) 🎠 @wormwxxd.bsky.social · 20/08/2023

Basically that’s what’s gonna happen, I think. It’s a real shame because me and this particular person did not get along at ALL even just a year ago and now I really remember why, lmao. I’m sort of ready to just have distance from them again.
