My Dad is from Norwich! When we were little we would go to visit grandparents in Norwich and if we were there on Valentine's we'd get a visit from Jack 😁 I used to wonder why he never came when we were in Wales, now I suppose it was just a bit too long of a journey for him! Happy Valentine's!

Had this happen literally the other night at a gig, not for the first time mind. It sucks, of course, but *I'm* proud of my work, and that doesn't change if the asker hasn't heard of it. I love my job, I want to do it forever, a young me would be so excited to hear we made it this far.

This whole thing with the Alters is how I found out Expedition 33 also used and shipped with gen AI "placeholder" art, before patching it out. Placeholder art doesn't need to look good or read well... it's a placeholder. These companies are trying to legitimize this shit and getting caught out.

It's also worth noting that with so many layoffs, there's so much talent that's going to be looking to go independent. And if we encourage this chaos theory style of development we are going to end up with so many start-ups that never get off the ground. Be different, take risks, but be smart!

Look, I'm a junior dev, I'd bite your hand off for the chance to work on something like this. I also *really really* enjoyed playing E33. But this is not and should not be seen as the blueprint for a successful game studio 😅 I've worked on multiple games like this that will never see the light 🥲
