So, there’s a band that most people call a one-hit-wonder, but they’re not. And we made a game based on their music, but only loosely. Really, you don’t need to know anything about the band to like the game. It’s a 90s-noir indie thing with gritty action and drama, and maybe some supernatural stuff.

WW Roots The black‑spine AD&D 1E DMG comes from a time when the game expected more from players. It’s dense, opinionated, and unforgiving. Bad rolls had consequences and survival was rare. It doesn’t chase vibes or feelings. It was challenging and for the hardcore nerds. #D&D #TTRPG Community

WW Roots This black‑spine AD&D Player’s Handbook was a later TSR reprint. These books were workhorses: scuffed, shared, loaned, and played with for years while editions shifted around them. Like the orange‑spine PHB, it is a reminder that games persist through use, not eras. #DnD #ttrpgcommunity

WW Roots This AD&D Player’s Handbook was the first RPG book Ron ever owned. He showed it to me when he was 11 and I was 12. My Uncle Ryan told us stories from his own games, but Ron and I played together for the first time in the Summer of 1989. #DnD #ttrpg
