Finally emerged victorious from another round of finals, and thus my social media hibernation is over. I’m looking forward to a summer of #Booksky and more time than ever for edits!

Hadn’t heard about this yet, very exciting! Will have to take a look at the details.

Left the windows open yesterday not even considering that my whole desk would be covered in pollen… including my laptop. What a way to start the day. #booksky #indieauthor #writingcommunity

I’m horrified by what’s going on at colleges across the US. My international friends and peers are terrified that their student visas will be revoked or that when they leave for the summer they won’t be allowed back in. It’s already happened to hundreds. Don’t let this get swept under the rug.

Thank you all for 1,000 followers! I can’t wait to show all of you what’s on the horizon. It’s been amazing getting to know all of you, and I very much appreciate the A in my SM Analytics course. #booksky #skywriters #writingcommunity #indieauthor

Thanks! I spent a long time making excuses for not writing, and one day I just decided that I was going to make progress at least every week. It’s hard, but forcing it into my schedule has made sure that the book is always moving forward, even if it’s just baby steps!

The semester is almost over, but between internship applications and… 😒 group work 😒… I’m finding it harder to sit down and write for any longer than an hour or two. Edits are even worse. Progress is progress I guess! 📖 #booksky #writingcommunity #writersky #indieauthor

I see this take a lot, and after making the switch to Pathfinder 2e I definitely get it. That being said, I have a great appreciation for 5e because of its ease of entry for new TTRPG players. If I had given Pathfinder 2e or Call of Cthulhu to my players back then I would not have had a group.

I’m a big fan of the Creepcast podcast that effectively does this—difference being they actually get permission from the authors before doing this. I hope YouTube is able to help you with this situation… but knowing their content moderation system, it’ll be a slog.

Trying to make real headway on my novel while worrying about whether my grad school funding is just going to evaporate because of an angry cheeto is truly a time. I’ve tried to see writing as an escape and emotional release but it is a constant struggle.

A lot of creative folks are demoralized right now. Hell, I'm one of them. Maybe some of them are helping you through this rough time. If so, do me a solid: Share their stuff. Drop them a kind word. Tip their Ko-fis, or join their Patreons. It seems like nothing, but it's everything right now. 🤘

One of the hardest things to do as a writer is to let yourself be done. I wrapped revisions on a chapter today, but there’s still that voice telling me that it isn’t quite good enough… I’ll take another crack at it tomorrow. #booksky #authorsky #writing

The detail is absolutely spectacular. I’m just starting in the hobby and I have totally overestimated my painting abilities. Doesn’t help that I started with rubrics lol.

Love this! I am definitely playing with the idea of unreliable narration in the time between campaigns. History warps not only who these characters were but what they wanted for the world. I want my players to feel the impact of their characters on the world, but perhaps it isn’t what they expected.

Currently running a sequel to my original D&D campaign with a 600 year time jump. My biggest struggle is remaining reverential of campaign one while allowing the second to stand on its own. I struggle with series like Legend of Korra because they fail to walk that tightrope. Any tips? #dnd #dm #d&d

Starting the day with dry academic writing to then switch over to the novel is never not funny. Depending on the day, I’ve either added a great many adjectives to my thesis or inserted a footnote in my worldbuilding. Good times. #booksky #authorsky #academia

I always like comparing the experience of writing to that of DMing a D&D Campaign. Biggest takeaway: Your world can be as cool and developed as you want, but at the end of the day, the audience is there for the characters. #BookSky #Authorsky #Dungeons&Dragons

The cities of Teldari, the heartland of the empire, and the festering pits of bureaucratic rot. Twelve noble houses rule the six cities, two to each. What may have been intended to bring harmony has only led to rivalry and strife that consumes the lives of everyday citizens. #BookSky #AuthorSky
