If your bike suddenly lowers your seat height without warning it is not “lowering your center of gravity to improve stability and increase control” it is behaving like broken erratic equipment that will most likely make you more prone to crash, not less.

Part of road cc article on Canyon “smart” bike that claims it could use “adaptive hardware” to lower your seat post for you without warning.

Got my 6 year old a new bike for Christmas, even though she already had one. It unlocked something in her. She asked to go out on it three times on the first day.
