THEY’RE HOLDING FINS!!!! Sharky mermaids in love are the best mermaids, in my absolutely unbiased opinion that has nothing to do w/sharks being a special interest of mine since I was 7 or my Great White shark tattoo on my wrist 😚 /j Copics on paper. #mermay #bg3art #tavkarios #galebg3 #galextav

Photo of a colourful analog mermaid drawing on white paper done with alcohol-based markers (copics). Sunlight draws shadows and patterns onto the paper.

The sketch shows Gale and my Tav from Baldur's Gate 3 as mermaids for mermay.

Tav is curvy / plus-size, has the dark, medium and light grey and beige-ish tail and fins of a Great White Shark that merges smoothly with their white human torso and long curly, ginger hair with green streaks that floats elegantly behind them.

They come close to Gale with a happy grin while holding on to his upper arm as he holds them by the waist. They're also holding and cradling his face on the side that is turned away from view. Gale holds onto their lower arm there in return.

Gale's long dark brown hair with greying sides floats behind him just like Tav's. He looks at them/their lips with a soft grin with a softly opened mouth.

His torso, tail and fins look like a whale shark and he has the orb's marking along with dots and points and soft wiggly lines on top of his back around his dorsal fin and the outside of his flipper that is turned towards the viewer.

These patterns are loosely inspired by the camouflage patterns of Whale Sharks or Tiger Sharks.

He is build firmly with strong arms but soft, full lines on his torso and tail. Similar to Tav has he also a soft double chin sketched and can be perceived as chubby.
Each of their tails and fins are coloured with lighter undersides and darker backs.

Gale’s tail is of a rich blue with purple and peachy pink faded lines towards the white underside of his tail. Both of their tails have dots and almost freckle-esque patterns. The same patterns fade over their shoulders and upper arms towards their elbows with Gale’s pattern and colours being more prominent than Tav’s

Their tails are crossed, so that their flippers lock and touch and their fins touch, similar to humans holding hands.

Virtual Photography Portrait of an emotional distressed Tav in the shadow-cursed lands, the colouring is dark, turquoise-sepia, just like the light in the curse.

BG3 Virtual Photography of Gale and Tav cuddling and stargazing in Wyrm’s Lookout. Gale holds Tav close to him and points up towards the sky with one hand. Tav has their head on Gale’s shoulder and lets their hand rest on his chest.

Both wear Gale’s velvety camp clothes. Tav’s outfit is green, Gale’s purple. Tav is a white human with medium length curly ginger hair with green highlights. (Though here looks their hair more golden blond because of the colouring edit that enhances the blue of the night)

The same scene, different angle and a close-up to the grinning Tav and Gale, laying on the ground in the grass together

Yet another angle of the stargazing scene. Also a close-up on their faces and upper bodies.

Gale is excitedly explaining the stars and Tav looks up with a serene, calm and concentrated face, head resting on his shoulder with their hand on his chest

A wider angle this time, showing the mountains in the distance behind Baldur’s Gate

Karlach's hair is long and wavy, down to the boulder and her tail is wrapped with a decorative green silk ribbon

BG3 Virtual Photography recreation of Gustav Klimt's art work "Der Kuss" (The Kiss) with Gale of Waterdeep and my Tav. Both are dressed in golds and yellows in sparkling and elaborate dresses/robes with armour pieces with some black details. Both also wear capes.
The scenery around them is equally full of rich orange light. They stand amidst red flowers.
Gale is a dark haired white human man (his wavy-curly hair is down to his shoulders), holds Tav's face and leans in from the side to kiss them, cradling their cheek.
Tav is a white human with medium length curly ginger hair that's styled with a swirled bang section, they wear an intricate golden head piece with red flower details and an additional headband/tiara made from blue/ turquoise beads. They lean into Gale's touch and have their eyes closed. (As does Gale)

Gale and Tav again in the same golden scenery.
They're now kissing mouth to mouth and Gale is still cradling Tav's face who holds onto his wrist and kisses him happily back
