I love the movement of make bad art, can we possibly bring that energy for young musicians too? I'm tired of headache medication commercials where one of the nuisances is a kid playing trombone or toys that help people find out they love music being advertised as "does not come with earplugs"

Sometimes the writing process is realizing you've written yourself into a corner and starting over from a point you're sure is fine and thinking about how to proceed from another angle. I feel bad disregarding about 2 years of progress but it just wasn't flowing

I don't own a concert euphonium, I own a marching euphonium. It's as heavy as a concert euph but must be held like a trumpet to play well. AI cannot hold nor play it for me. It also can't depict euphonium for shit. It can't even properly depict a DIY flute and that's just a small pvc pipe

A perfect excuse to share my favorite post of all time

A Tumblr post by Buglich.

Tactics Ogre Villain Writing: every named boss you encounter is as much a person as yourself, no matter how despicable. They will be mourned when they doe, perhaps more than you. Never forget that you pave the road to your dream with the bones and broken hopes of others.

Final Fantasy Tactics Villain Writing: you stand before the monsteous, twisted ruin of a good man who dreamed of a better world, who longed only for the strength to bring it about. Also Argath is bad again, he hates poor people even more now.

Fire emblem Awakening Villain Writing: This is Villageburner the Bandit and in exactly three turns Fredrick will insert his entire foot into his ass.

I wrote all of this alt text on my phone, with an auto correct that hates me, so be proud of me please.

There's a lot to say about brass instruments: Relaxation is key, don't worry too much about the mouthpiece, there's affordable used horns that still have decades of song left in them if you know where to look and properly maintain them, 5 minutes of practice is way better than a full day off.
