My first year as a science teacher (I’d done 2 yrs as English and 3 as a sub) I had two kids and a wife and we were on WIC because the cost of living was so high and 1st-year in my new district was so low. It’s really easy to be in a shitty spot, and costs you nothing to have empathy.

There is a boatload of bad shot going on right now, so I went to play Commander and cheer myself up. Two tables over, I hear the most horrified and angry voice I’ve ever heard: “YOU CANNOT BRIDGE SHUFFLE MY DECK!!!!!” Cannot argue with the sentiment.
