It’s about to get moooody over here! Gonna wind up and cast on The Frosted Stitch’s colorway Maelstrom on Winter Worsted. After a week like the one I had, some moody (but simple) stitching is exactly what I need. Are ya knitting or crocheting this weekend?! 🧶 #knitsky #yarn

Two skeins of hand dyed wool yarn are held up before a bookshelf. The skeins are dyed in moody blacks, greens and blues while the overall image is bright and inviting.

My First Tour de Fleece is a wrap! 🐑💫 I spun 6 oz of a Fossil Fibers gradient on the drop spindle, and started this beautiful BFL braid on my spinning wheel. 🧶 I split this braid into 14(ish?) looooong strips to experiment with shorter color repeats. #knitsky #tourdefleece #handspunyarn

A close up of a bobbin on a flyer of a spinning wheel with green house plants in the background. Around the bobbin is the start of a new spin of very thin yarn in greens, teals and browns.

A braid of BFL wool roving is wound in a spiral on a board. The roving is hand dyed in browns, teals and greens.

Little bundles of BFL wool roving lay on a deck waiting to be hand spun into yarn. Some are in the sunlight and others are in the shade. They dyed in are browns, teals, greens and creams.

A hand dyed and spindle spun gradient of mini skeins of yarn lay on a deck railing. They range in color from blues on the left through purple, red, orange, yellow and into cream on the right. A greenhouse and hillside are in the distance.

💫Tour de Fleece Day 15 I would love for input (validation or correction!) from more seasoned yarn spinners! I used to be seriously anti-plying-ball for use in spinning a 2 ply yarn on a drop spindle, but over the course of this TdF, here is what I’ve learned: #knitsky #yarnlife #tourdefleece

A hand holds a drop spindle and two balls of hand spun yarn in the sunlight. They have a blue triple moon tattoo on their wrist.

A hand holds a hand spun ball of blue yarn and a drop spindle with a cop of purple and blue plyed yarn in the sunlight.

A close up of one corner of a kniddy-knoddy with a mini skein of hand spun 2ply yarn wound around it. The skein shows reds, blues and purples and is held in the morning sun.

And hand holds a mini skein of 2 ply yarn in a shadow of a porch railing. The skein is red, blue and purple and the hand has a blue triple moon tattoo on the wrist. Blurry, and in the background, the kniddy-knoddy used to wind the skein can be seen on the porch floor. Sunlight and shadow show the porch railing

The Bluster Biased Scarf is back 🌾🧶 This simple, cozy knitting pattern just got a new sample in The Frosted Stitch’s colorway Abandoned (But Loved), a mustard that looks like sunshine and summer grass (but won’t give you allergies 😘). And she is on sale! #knitsky #knitting

Tour De Fleece Day 11 💫 Actually this video is from day 8 or 9 but I was lost in this craziness and didn’t share 😆 I have 2oz left to spin and I’ll have the most lovely gradient yarn set! What shall I knit with it?! This started as a 6oz BFL fade from @fossilfibers 🧶 #tourdefleece #knitsky

A gradient of wool that fades from blue to cream to gold to red and into purple lay on a table. Some of the wool are blue roving braids near the bottom of the image, some roving
has been divided, cream hand spun yarn on a drop spindle is in the center of the gradient and hand spun and plied skeins of yarn in golds and reds near the top.

When my yarn matches the Land I become so inspired! 🌾🧶✨ What magic in hand dyed yarn! I’m stitching high-desert summer into every row with @thefrostedstitch.bsky.social's colorway Abandoned (But Loved). I'm knitting that part of summer when green dries to gold& the air *smells* warm. #knitsky

I blocked my Bellingham Bay Shawl for the first time in 5 years and she grew five inches deeper and TEN inches in wingspan 🤣🙌🏼 Block your knitwear y’all! Now you can totally see the sail boats and waves in the rain along the bottom edge! 🥹⛵️💕 #knitting 🧶

A blue hand knit shawl hangs over a branch on the beach. The lace along the bottom edges make waves and sail boats.

Today feels like one of those days that should include dipping cookies in our coffee while knitting socks. 🧶

A hand thrown sage green coffee cup, a pot of succulents and a rusty red sock knitting project rest on a porch railing. Behind them the sky is wildly blue as it welcomes the sun and the rolling hills are bathing in the morning light.

I'm watching me change before my eyes! It is such a gift to ourselves that we practice this craft because as we grow older, our understanding of our craft grows deeper and we have the capacity to celebrate what we have learned while adorning our bodies with what we create. 🧶
