So what is everyone's opinion on this new Apple TV 4K? Worth $300 or better to go with an older model?

Truth be told - the "Trainers" in fitxr are really just there to provide some words. When it comes down to it - punch the things coming at you, avoid the walls, jump over the stuff on the floor...

In the morning I do a workout with an app named FitXR on the Meta Quest VR headset. He seemed to be the one trainer suggested for me this morning and he was babbling about playing football the entire time.

That reminds me! You know sports... who is Dane Robinson? Was he a football person?

The scariest thing I have seen this Halloween is the AI slop stores are selling for it b

I always wondered where she went - she had a couple major hits in the 90s that I loved and then I didn’t hear from her.

Carrie us, what, 150 pages long? 200? It’s an excellent horror novel and part of it was there was not fat on its bones. It’s got enough for a movie, not a series. Decompressing that storytelling hurts it IMHO.

The saddest thing about the internet is we COULD use it for talking, learning about others, gaining empathy for people and learning new ideas. Instead we've used it to exploit children and expand gambling.

A person I used to work with turned my onto that book - she would read it about once every year and so I picked it up and tried it. And loved it.

To be clear, John Fetterman didn’t “accidentally” call himself a lifelong fascist republican, it didn’t slip out by mistake, he was stating truth, he was a MAGA plant from the very beginning and I can’t wait until Pennsylvania voters toss the disgraceful treasonous fraud out of office.

Oddly I want to get excited about Doomsday. But I can't. Yet I AM excited for the documentaries about Musk and Holmes. When did I get so old I am more interested in docs like this than in superhero's punching each other?

If the DHS has a checklist that impacts citizens, shouldn't everyone have seen it?

There is this YouTube channel “super Saturday morning simulator”. It’s become a weekend tradition for me to turn it on Saturday morning to relive my childhood. Stumbled upon it showing the real ghostbusters today.

Okay, I want to remind everyone - check your voter registration. Get things in line. Ask your neighbors if they might need a drive. Basically get our ducks in a row for the midterms.

I am pretty sure we'd both stand there conspicuously trying to avoid looking at each other until we whipped out our phones and acted like we hadn't noticed the other.

I did not have that on "Things to expect today" - Massie is forcing a impeachment vote for Hegseth.

In a normal country this would be the end of the president and his entire admin. In a Trump country... this is a Tuesday.

000

wookietim.bsky.social @wookietim.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

My question - if Trump truly thought that this would fix any problems then why did he wait until the midterms were this close to try to do this? Why did he not urge lawmakers to do this a year ago? We all know why.

So I watched the first two episodes of this show “dang” on Netflix. I think I can see what we’re supposed to be jokes. But they ain’t funny this is a really bad show.

Pay attention to what he's yelling about - a question about his hollow promise of a $5k check if reps win. That tells me one thing - the stuff we are afraid of (His tricks to change the outcome of the midterms) are falling apart... and he has nothing else left.

It really floors me that an entire generation grew up and are old enough now to have kids of their own that never even saw the WTC.

And that was where I basically was for the next two weeks. I remember pulling back into port and the Captain gathering everyone and saying "Before you get off this ship just be aware - this is not the same country you left. We were attacked and you need to be ready to leave at any point."

Someone flew a plane into the WTC." and I said "That can't be real!" Then my work center supervisor came up to me 10 minutes later and said "I already checked you out. Go get a flak jacket and go to the fantail, you're gonna be a lookout next to the machine gun."

25 years ago today I was in the Navy, "Cranking" (It's not what it sounds like). That is a Navy tradition that says that if you are not a 2nd class petty officer or above you have to work in the mess for 6 months. I was working the beverage aisle and a friend of mine came up and said "Did you hear?
