Dwarf Fortress is really the gift that keeps on giving

To be brief. It's a hassle, and it's not really worth it. You won't learn anything anyway, and it's just a lot of micromanagement.

The back story of this is that I, in my naivety, wanted to interrogate everyone in the fort. Including a large amount of babies. It turned out that if you try to take a baby from it's mother for interrogation (or for any reason for that matter) she will hunt you down and snatch her offspring back, turning it all into a tug of war between the captain of the guard and the baby mother.

So here's the guide:

If you want to interrogate a dwarven baby, the only person that can do it is its mother. Ergo,

1. Turn the mother, temorarily, into the captain of the guard.
2. Pray you won't encounter a forgotten beast (I still speak from experience. The baby mother became the completely inexperienced captain of the guard, wielding a baby)
3. If you have more than one baby to interrogate, cycle all the mothers as captains of the guard.

so here';s my idea. it would get banned for smacking you all around and maybe killing you but it would be soooooo fun.
