I feel like Threads as an app is entirely engineered towards pissing users off. Any time I open it, the entire feed is just people saying the dumbest or most absurd things, and half of it is obvious bait. But oddly, I don’t see ads, so I’m honestly not sure what the play is from Meta.

Only parts of Colorado and Utah are the southwest. But oddly, all of Nevada is.

In California, Joshua Tree is obviously in the southwest. But I think once you're to Palm Springs or San Bernardino, you're out of the southwest.

As someone born and raised in the actual southwest (Arizona), I don't think that Dallas or Houston get to say they're in the southwest. El Paso and Amarillo do. San Antonio could. Austin can't.

Hot take: I don't think social media made people dumber. We've been dumb this whole time. It's just that you used to have to have a job that people sent their dumb letters to, to notice. This made "Engaging with fools" an occupational hazard rather than the 24/7 experience it is presently.

also i just don't game that much? for a lot of people i know, the computer is a machine for games that can do other stuff too, but for me, a computer is used for a ton of different things, and sometimes games. so i prioritize the things i spend more time on

i have gamer friends that are always confused at why i use a mac when it's easier to game on windows, and i always have to remind them that windows is not in the running for me. it's macos or linux. windows will never run on my main machine ever again. it's a deeply unpleasant OS and i don't want it

Do you guys have QuikTrip gas station/convenience stores? And if so have you had the store brand energy drink? Because it’s fucking NASTY I couldn’t believe it (because QT stuff usually is pretty good). I recommend trying it just for the experience
