I was busy yesterday... but did have time at maximum to get a picture of the Eclipse! I didn't spend too much time, as I had been very tired. Nikon D500, 200-500 f/5.6, 1.4TC. 700mm (1050mm 35mm). Aperture Priority with 2 EV bias, with auto ISO, AF & VR on, handheld. 1/20s @ f/8, ISO 25600.

Ooooh... I might go to it... the issue I have is theatres are very loud! I might make an exception (and bring earplugs) and go see it... or just wait for it to hit videos! It had rave reviews on the test... but they wanted the tax deduction of "failed" film is why it was just shelved.

Original Post (Paraphrased): Neuroscientist here... creativity is a process. Not an output. Nobody is gatekeeping the process; AI simply invites you to skip to the end, to the output. Nobody cares if the output is aesthetically pleasing, because the process, the act itself, the limitation of a single human mind and the resulting creations that capture that one single inimitable human experience is what makes a creation worth paying attention to.

My Response:
This is something that I really support! "Creativity is the process, not the result!"

AI just takes what has been created in the past and was put into its source, passes it through the filter of what you want, and then regurgitates what it has. It's not reimagined, it's just mixed up.

Sadly, what it does, is gives people a way to get around the cost to have someone do the work to creatively make what they want, be it words, a program, a story, an image, etc. It de-values the artist, photographer, writer, programmer, etc. Also, it has been shown that everything you put in is also filtered and used to make the AI "better" and also to make your data available for others. Who benefits? It's the rich companies who are able to get loans on speculation of AI taking more creativity away. Now, it's even taking other jobs away too.

Other than China, I haven't seen any country say that getting rid of workers and replacing them with AI, just to have "more profits" is not allowed. And now, AI companies are making the use of AI more expensive (the trial period has ended...), and it's not actually cheaper!
