About 42,000,000 people would be covered if the Medicare age were lowered to 55

Lowering the Medicare age to 55 would cover about 42,000,000 more people, -about twice as many as the (also) popular Medicaid expansion

Great news!! In the end, we all learned a lot. It’s good to confirm MO has referendum power on maps We already knew there was almost zero gerrymandering limitations (contiguous and close to equal districts). The People are a better check/balance than the legal limits on gerrymandering

AOC wants Medicare at age 55. Popular, amazing proposal!! It would be the greatest domestic policy achievement in 50+ years. Dem leadership need to develop a consensus on their healthcare policy goals. You can’t beat this proposal @aoc.bsky.social @sanders.senate.gov

New KFF poll: Americans want Congress to extend the expiring, enhanced Obamacare credits by a whopping margin of 78% to 22% — a remarkable political entrenchment for subsidies that were a heavy political lift for Democrats just a few years ago, per Politico.

Do they think that if Medicaid doesn’t pay for emergency care that the cost just goes away?

Stoked Republicans are screaming “America First” for medical coverage! Ready to go on expanding Medicare/Medicaid and reducing private insurance costs- just like voters want.

We’re just going to get hammered on transgender stuff again this election cycle… and for all eternity, right? Talarico, Sherrill and most other Dems think they can just deflect it, since that’s what the party has done for ten years. They don’t realize that time’s up www.foxnews.com/sports/mikie...

Mikie Sherrill remains silent on issue of trans athletes in women's sports as Trump calls her out for it
Mikie Sherrill, New Jersey's Democrat candidate for governor, voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act twice and co-sponsored the Transgender Bill of Rights.

Sure. Left wing terrorism is at an all time high, going from 3% of domestic terror fatalities to 4%. Right wing terrorism on the other hand has dipped to an all time low of 95% So technically, yeah.

Lots of Democrat defectors on this, which is bizarre, since MO is the ONLY state that grabs control of police departments from major cities. It’s power consolidation at the state level, by Republicans who love politicizing crime and dislike liberal cities. #moleg

Every state legislature should be trying to eliminate SALES TAXES and replace it with other revenue streams. Sales tax is the most regressive. The impact is felt even more, due to inflation and tariffs. Republicans want to cut income and property taxes because they only care about rich people

Gerrymandering reform had tons of bipartisan public support It’s pathetic that Republican voters constantly call Dems hypocrites. If they ever used just a tiny bit of their energy to pressure their Reps to actually DO SOMETHING, we could fix it Point to a Republican rep who wants to fix it or STFU

Pretty sure my Rep doesn’t know how districting works Your domicile determines your Rep. They make a map. You vote for new Reps, based on your registered domicile. The old districts are used until the new Reps are seated and sworn in. How would this mid-decade MO process change that?
