Day 5: Background / Scene Study. Tried to focus on value and do a speed sketch. Bonus points if you can recognize the location!

Soaking up some sunshine ❤️

A photo of 2 dogs laying on the carpet. Sunlight is streaming in through an open sliding glass door. Both dogs look at the camera, with the black one closest to the viewer rolled over and looking for belly rubs.

*re-uploading an edited version from last night, since Bluesky deems a feminine form devoid of genitals or nipples standing in a neutral position as sexual content* Day 3: Sketch page. This is an inked sketch I've been working on for my new D&D character, Imala and her dragon companion, Rakasa

a digital sketch of a dragon with its wings unfurled, facing the left. The dragon has angular belly scutes, a strip of fur down its back, and horns almost akin to antlers on its head. In the foreground stands the blacked-out silhouette of an anthro smilodon woman.

I'm really excited to try this art challenge made by @louixie.bsky.social! Life tends to get in the way of daily art challenges for me, but the pace for this one seems much more manageable :3 Happy spooky season, everyone!

An art challenge for the month of October called "OC-Tober" created by artist Louixie. The main banner is decorative and looks like a carved wooden sign flanked by orange-leaved branches and warm orange string lights. The challenges are listed on odd days only, and are displayed over a dark starlit sky. They read as follows:

1. Anything fall themed
3. Sketch page / Expression sheet
5. Scene / background study

Working on the design for an upcoming DnD PC! Imala is a smilodon tabaxi hailing from a snowy mountain town. I'm planning on making her Dex-focused, but I wanted her physique to reflect her sturdy big-cat origins :) Still needs some tweaks, but happy with how it's coming along!

I'm treating myself. Turned off all the lights in house, curled up in a blanket, and ate lunch to the serenade of storms outside. It is a good day.

A photo of a darkened dining room. The point of view is from a seat at the wooden table, looking out onto a stormy street with trees and grass beyond the half- curtained window. The table is littered with the remnants of a long-ago session of D&D, and in the foreground is a paper plate laden with a sandwich and veggie sides.

Having tons of vivid dreams / nightmares lately. Last night's was creepy. My friends and I were tasked to hunt evil spirits, and our first assignment was The Smiling Spirit. It appeared in the back seats of cars, waiting for the driver to look in its eyes in the mirror, then force them to crash.

Grandma would have been 84 today. She made me swear on my life I would take her skydiving when she hit 90. I was nervous when I agreed, but now... I'd do it in a heartbeat if it meant I could spent just one more moment with her.

Next (and maybe last?) #artfight attack goes out to ThunderWingBr of their Hollow Knight sharp baldur named Spike. He is young, shy, and had an adorable bandana :3

021

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Next #artfight attack is for AnamayCat of their character, Umbre. They described them as cat-like, introverted, antisocial, and mostly distrustful, and I thought what was more cat-coded than a fluffed up crab walk?

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

My next #artfight attack goes to user CurlyFeatherDoodles of their sapphic vampire x werewolf couple, Thisbe and Cayden. It was hard to choose which of them to draw for revenge, and what can I say- I'm a sucker for love 🦇 💕 🐺

My next #artfight attack goes to the incredible @volgotha.bsky.social of their Resident Evil biography OC, Rika! I had a lot of fun with this one, and it's actually the first NSFW submission I've made for Artfight :) Thank you again for drawing Aruna!!

"You sure you don't want to try it, Star Shine? This new flavor is delicious, I guarantee it!" "That's exactly what you said last time, Burdock... Absolutely not." Next #artfight attack for sweetbites of Star Shine- an AU Twili x Tempest fanchild (left) and Burdock- a brewer of draft sodas (right)

I'm ALMOST caught up with #artfight revenges! This one goes out to EuporiaVortex of their character, Kaefyr. She's an aquatic wolf spirit haunting waterways. Some legends say she's a protector of the land... others warn she is a predator, preying on fools who stray too close to the water's edge

A digital drawing of a wolf spirit with purple fur, green horns, and two sets of eyes, floats in the water. Only the upper half of her face is fully visible above the waterline, but you can still faintly see her open jaws just below the surface. Her eyes shine green in the dark.

My 2nd #artfight attack goes to the incredible @kerbibble.bsky.social of #castlecrashers OC Sir Cederick the Bulk! He was a brave Knight the Necromancer killed and resurrected. He's freed from the Necromancer's control later, but in this pic, you can see just how dangerous it was to accomplish

In this POV digital drawing, the world is tilted as though the viewer has been knocked to the ground under the weight of a bloody spiked mace visible in the bottom right of the image. The attacker is a zombified Knight OC from the game Castle Crashers, set in the game's Lava World level.

The Knight, Sir Cederick the Bulk, is an imposing figure with spiked purple armor. His heavily damaged helmet has torn open to reveal the gnashing teeth of a zombie. His eyes have been replaced by a set of red glowing pinpricks, matching the glowing cursed symbol on his forehead- both of which are signs that the Necromancer is controlling Cederick.

The Knight is giving the viewer a sadistic grin, tilting his head to match the viewer's visual plain as though taunting you.

Well, my day just got really exciting! We had some customers from Florida this weekend, and it appears they had a little anole stow away! Thankfully, Snake Discovery is local, and they take rescues. He's been moved to a cup with water and leaves, and I'll be taking to the SD Rescue on my break

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Okay, going to bed, but I am excited to share Mellon!! She featured in the hand-drawn little comic I posted a while back, but I changed her name because her frill design reminded me of mellon seeds. This is her, all grown up!

041

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I also gave Obsinia a minor facelift! The only "big" change was giving her lighter belly fur, but I'm happier with the overall look of the newer ref sheet

021

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I finalized her ref sheet for #artfight2026 Meet Moho ^^

My coworker gave me a painting her daughter made of my 'sona. It was her first Artfight last year, and her mom asked if she could pass along my info for questions / attacking. Fast forward a year later, and she made this as a thank you and to say she's excited to fight again this year. My heart 😭

A very dumb little sketch I could not stop giggling while drawing. @kerbibble.bsky.social introduced me to Apothecary Diaries, and I'm loving it so far!

digital sketch of a green cat, grinning, with the caption "Did someone say...poison?". It is a catified version of the character Maomao in the show Apothecary Diaries

Alrighty! First of Obsinia's sisters, Flaeka (Fl-aye-cah). She is the most well-suited to freezing temps due to her dense, fluffy coat. She is blind in one eye, but still uses her sharp sense of smell and hearing to find lost hikers in the mountains. More on her later!

a digital reference sheet for a character named "Flaeka, the snow obsidian rockruff". The character is an OC rockruff from Pokémon with dark grey fur with a lighter blue-grey tail, neck fluff, and many spots. She is made to look like Snow Obsidian.

photograph of many samples of tumbled Snow obsidian- a black volcanic glass with tiny quartz crystal inclusions that look reminiscent of snowflakes. Each sample varies in the size, shape, and density of quartz

152

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

But from there, I got the idea to keep going with some of the other subtypes of obsidian. This is Mahoganna (name pending) based on Wyoming mahogany obsidian. I have a sample myself, and I love the tree like bands and stripes it forms due to iron oxide impuriries!

110

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

My first idea was possibly changing Obsinia to resemble my favorite varient called "snowflake obsidian". The white patches are caused by microscopic needle-like quartz crystals that form as the volcanic glass rapidly cools.

100

Wolfologist @wolfologist.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

I've been considering an update on my Rockruff OC Obsinia, or potentially give her sisters based on different variants of obsidian. As it stands, her design is kinda... lukewarm, at least to me (possible sisters / redesign sketches in the thread)

I have been mildly obsessed with @shyblacksheep.bsky.social 's sona redesign, and I had to draw gift art of the Pokémon Sawsbuck form! I love the rich brown and the vibrant water-inspired colors, they're so pretty!! Shy, I hope you like it :)

A digital drawing of Shy's 'sona as a Sawsbuck from Pokémon. She is rearing up on her hind legs, they have a rich brown coat with freckles and blue / seafoam accents. Their antlers are coral-inspired, and host a cascade of willow branches with blue flower clusters.
